As many of you know Mom has had a stroke and has been hospitalized. Things have all happened so quickly. Last night they transfered her to Good Samaritan Hospice. She needs all the prayers she can get. It's in God's hands now. Mom is still aware of all going on around her. She'll comunicate through hand squeezes and occasionally a word or two. I know she aware of things around her because Cassidy gave her a stuffed robit of her's when she went to the hospital and yesterday when we were asked what all would be going to the Hospice with her we said Cassidy's rabbit. We asked if it should be in a bag or if it could stay with Mom. Mom rewached down and took hold of it and hugged it to herself. Don't anyone tell me she is unresponsive.
We've been so busy lately I'm not sure what I've updated on and what I haven't, so forgive me if I repeat myself. Dad was taken to the hopital also last Friday. He's still in the hospital recovering from pneumonia. It was very hard on him staying at the hopsital when they transferred Mom out last night.
He wants out too so he can be with her.
Our third happening was Sunday morning when the Vet called to say that Cassidy's newest kitten Teutels had died. Things have to turn around for us soon. I pray that they will and that Mom will too. I know God is capable of miracles and I know how powerful prayer can be. :grouphug:

Oh i'm so sorry to hear this. Hospice is a wonderful thing, we've dealt with them in the family twice and it's helpful in such a bad time... we'll be thinking about your whole family.

:grouphug: I'm so sorry that you're going through all this right now. You and your family are in my prayers. :grouphug:

I'm so sorry. I went through this with my dad three years ago this month. Those hospice workers are angels--they make the whole situation a little more bearable.

My very best to you and your whole family. You're in my thoughts.

I'm so sorry for all that you are going through. I'll say an extra prayer for you and your family tonight. May tomorrow be a better day for all.

Take care of yourself! :grouphug:

I've only heard good things about hospice. I will pray for your Mom and your family. :grouphug: These are not easy times for you.

:grouphug: How difficult this must be for you and your family. :grouphug:

:grouphug: Thinking about you Jan, Cassidy, Sandy, and your dad. Also praying that things will get better.

:grouphug: Jan and Sandy and all the rest of the family.
I hope things go well for all.

Jan,

:grouphug: to you. Hospice is the best place for your Mom to be. They are so good at caring for the patient while nuturing the family. The week we spent at Woodside Hospice in October was an eye opening experience. Everyone there made us welcome.

Yes, it all seems to happen at once, doesn't it?

Suzanne

Thanks for the continued prayers. Just back from seeing Mom. Yesterday and today she has just been sleeping. She hasn't awakened while we've been there to squeeze our hand or open her eyes. I pray for a miracle everyday. :grouphug:

I'm praying for a miracle too. {{{HUGS}}} sweetie. I pray that your mother can recover from this illness.
