We had a great time at US/IOA. I missed the first day the family went because DS3 and I were recovering from the stomach flu, but the rest of the gang went to US for the day on Saturday, and did everything in a day. They did miss Twister because it was broken down, and Jimmy Neutron broke down while they were in line, but they did get to ride it.

We went to IOA on Monday. Everything was a total walk on, and they got to ride Hulk twice in a row without leaving their seats. We saw Spiderman, Captain America and some other comic book characters the older boys knew but I didn't  and in Seuss Landing we saw the Grinch, Cat in the Hat and the guy from Green Eggs and Ham. The only thing we didn't get to do was Sinbad. We picked a great day to go as it was really warm, and the water rides felt pretty good in the late afternoon. We had dinner at Hard Rock Cafe.

Tuesday we split the day between both parks. While wondering around in US we saw Scooby, Shaggy, Curious George, Man with the Yellow Hat, Woody Woodpecker (and his girlfriend?) Dora, Jimmy Neutron and Spongebob.

US was a little more expensive as far as food, bottled water. It's much louder at Universal than at Disney, especially as you are leaving through City Walk. We were okay with it, because with 4 kids, we're pretty loud too (who am I kidding, we are REALLy loud), but we heard a few people complaining.

DS15, DS12 and DH all said their favorite ride was Hulk. DD6 loved Simpsons. I found it a little too frantic? for me, and it bounced my head around, but I still thought it was fun. Simpsons was the only wait longer than 10 minutes we saw our entire 3 days. It averaged about 30 minutes everytime we went past it. DD3 loved Woody Woodpecker and Jimmy Neutron. My favorite was The Mummy. I could have ridden that over and over!

Any questions?

I know you weren't complaining so this isn't directed at you but
seriously why would anyone complain about the noise level of a theme park? I mean come on there are huge metal machines flying through the air and people screaming their heads off as they enjoy them! LOL glad you had a good time! I'm jealous we don't go till Christmas. :cool1: :santa:

:woohoo: :woohoo: Great to hear you had a good time

Awesome! I'm going on Saturday with my buds do any of you have crowd predictions because I have a swim meet that'll go on for a while and won't get to the park until about 4:30...

My daughter was there on Monday and Tuesday as well. They had a great time too but wished it had been a bit nicer on Tuesday. I think they did the MIB - Mummy circuit all afternoon.

Glad to hear you guys had such a good time and I hope you go back again!!!
