We lost our Vero trip.

My wife and I are teachers and the past few years we have kicked off summer with our kids at Vero Beach. We love it! It’s a good way to start summer. Well this year I need to work over the summer due to needed funds. I got a great summer school job at a tech school so that’s good. I am lucky, I know this. However I have to start work right away thus cancelling our Vero trip. My wife called MS to see if we could move some dates around but nope, it’s all booked up. I will get the week of the 4th of July off and we thought to try HH but they are all booked up as well. Lucky we were able to get a few nights at AKL at Kadani. We haven’t stayed on that side yet and are looking forward to trying that new pool. So even though we going to AKL, our home resort it breaks my heart that we lost our Vero trip. Oh well there’s always next year.

I hope you can make it to Vero soon, but as you say, you're a lucky one to have gotten the summer job. Best wishes as you enjoy Kidani. I was a public school teacher and know how important summer income can be!

So sad you will miss Vero this time. I'm sure you will have a great time at AKV, though. Unfortunately, we're getting in the 'habit' of booking a few days at Vero before we start off our WDW vacations and we, too, would miss it a lot if we couldn't do that. But, as you said, there is always next year. Which is, of course, the beauty of DVC!
