For those of you who have ever been to the Beach Club, and who have met Art, you know what a special cast member he is!

Well Art retired today....

He will be missed by many many people, cast members and guests alike!

If you are on Facebook, there is a group....Just search for Art the Greeter if you would like to leave a message for him!

They had a huge party for him today at the Y+B convention center, and he said it was time for him to spend more time with his family!

What a guy!

Our first vacation to the Beach Club was the summer of 1996, for my wife's birthday. Art was incredible with us. He greeted us with sincere warmth every day, and on those days it rained, handed us fluffy towels to dry off.

He always wanted to know how our day was, and meant it! He wasn't just going through the motions. I must say, he was one of the special treasures that made the Beach Club our favorite deluxe resort.

We sure will miss him. Although, it's wonderful that he is going to retire and have some time for himself now. We wish him well, and a long and healthy retirement!

He is one of a kind and we both will miss seeing him on our visits to the Beach Club... I hope he is able to enjoy a nice long retirement... Nobody wil ever be able to fill his shoes or come close to that smile!
