I REALLY can't wait!!!!! It's so hard not to burst with the secret.... Picking them up from school tomorrow and leaving from there. It is no small feat to get 5 people packed and ready to go without them knowing!

That's awesome. My DH let it slip last week. So the cat is out of the bag at our house. They know when we're going, but I have a few surprises in store for them that are gonna knock their socks off!

Looks like we have the exact same plan. We're leaving right after school tomorrow too! Have a great trip!

That is the greatest thing to experience, isn't it? I got away with it twice - once on the way back from the cruise - they didn't know we were then going to the parks, but they were so exhausted, we had to wake them up when we hit the Magic Kingdom sign - and they were instantly awake! Then, like you, we did the whole "secret trip" trying to pack covertly - told them we were going to Atlanta. We hit the sign that said Daytona Beach and my son said "hey....where are we really going??" I love that wonderful element of Disney surprise. Have a wonderful time!

How exciting. We are going in 18 days and I am surprising our girls. My husband has almost let it out of the bag a couple of times but I was able to revert. I have not started packing yet but trying to figure out how to do that without them knowing and making sure I do not forget anything.

Love it! We did this last year - picked up DS from school and had the car packed for the airport. We didn't let him see the inside of the car but we asked him, "if you could pick anywhere in the world to go right now, where would it be?" My friends at work were taking bets - McDonalds, Target, the beach, Disney, Germany...guess what he said, "um Disney World?". We just loved it when we told him we were! Priceless!

Oh I just love reading these stories! A co-worker (a grandmother & Disney freak)of mine did something similar a couple of years ago. Her daughter & family live a couple of hours away. She left work on a Fri. afternoon packed and ready to fly to WDW on Sat. morning. Her granddaughter thought she was just coming for a weekend visit and they were going to a local aquarium on Sat. afternoon. They woke GD up Sat. morning to say they were going to get breakfast. All luggage was in the trunk so she wouldn't see it. Her next question was "ummmm... why are we at the airport???" Total shock.
