I am packing!!!! Yippee!!! Do I need pants for Oct1-10 (yes I will be wearing shorts! ) Will it be cool enough in the evenings to need pants/jacket? Thanks! It's in the 50's here in NY at night now!

i am packing right now too and i am not packing any pants..the weather looks like it is gonna be warm the whole time...maybe pack a sweatshirt or something ..but dont worry about anything else...

I am leaving tomorrow. I am not packing pants or a sweat shirt but I am wearing jeans and a Track jacket on the plane.

We've been over Columbus Day numerous times and the weather has been HOT! I can remember going to MNSSHP and sweating to death in shorts and a tshirt. I think you'll be fine not to bring long pants. I always bring a sweatshirt or fleece since if I get sunburned I get the chills. Otherwise, no need for it.

So far the on line weather shows rain and 80's. I'm hoping that the rain won't hit, but it usually does when we visit in October. Bring umbrellas and/or ponchos, but it looks like you can forget the pants. I like capri pants myself.

i will be there next week too, so far weather.com is projecting 86 for a high this weekend, and the first part of next week, the lows were right around 71-72. Based on this, I am only taking my capris (no pants) and 1 sweatshirt JUST in case they are wrong about the lows. We are almost there

You won't need long pants but a jacket is nice to have in case you go someplace with cold a/c.

It is so hot and humid that you will be sweating even at 8 p.m. But if you are cold natured, you may need a light sweater for restaurants.
