This is my first time at USO and IOA...I don't have a "plan of attack" I am not sure I am going to be able to handle this.:confused3 :confused3
OMG...I talked everyone into going to USO & IOA this time and not Disney, this trip cannot be a bust...I will NEVER live it down.
UGH!!

Are you staying on site? Because if you are, don't panic. The wonderful thing about onsite and FOTL is that you don't need a plan of attack.:goodvibes

We just got back and I can promise I would never EVER go again in August if not for the FotL privleges. By afternoon time, the more popular rides had waits of 45-75 minutes, and for some of those, that involved waiting in the ungodly heat. There is no way anyone can enjoy that, and it served a fresh reminder for me to never visit Disney in the summer.

If you are onsite though, no freaking out at all, the place is amazing and you will be sure to have a good time!

Thank you both for the quick responses!!:thumbsup2 We are staying on-site...we are staying at the PBH and I may need to use the spa ASAP just to relax.

Still FREAKING OUT!!!

Is anyone aware of any rides that are down for rehab - currently or in the next few weeks at either US or IOA?

tink, why are you freaking out?

going to the UO is a relaxing vacation.

you'll enjoy staying at pbh.

I second that! Nothing to freak out about - you get up in the morning, go on rides, eat, ride some more, eat, ride some more, eat, go to bed. In between are boat rides, hot tubs, a swimming pool, and the all important stop at The Thirsty Fish (important note: the best way to enjoy Thirsty Fish is in a swimsuit and spa robe as you wander back to your room from the hot tub ;) )

There! Now I've just written my trip report from last February :rotfl2:

Don't worry you will love this place!! My husband said he would never do disney again after all the crowds, lines, getting back and forth to places etc... so I too was nervous on our first Universal trip also. It is so relaxing you do not need to plan anything! We just got back and the park was crowded- most wait times were 60 to90 minutes! We WALKED right on every ride all week-end with fotl. My husband loves it there as much as I do now. He said you feel like you are actually on vacation and you head home relaxed and can not wait to begin planning to go back.

If you are staying at the portifino you've got it made in the shade. Only plans you even need are just take the boat into the parks when you want to go.

Make sure all of your party has room keys for these are all of their fast passes to the rides. With these you can ride rides at will with no wait, so you can do them over and over or do each park in about 3 or 4 hours. (If you're in a hurry to do a lot of rides) but I recommend taking your time and just doing whatever you want whenever you want.

The only other plans you may need to make are some of the restaurants you may need reservations, or get their early. We got to Margharitavilles around 5 one afternoon and got a table right away, but sometimes theres a wait here. And emerills and Tchoup Choup usually have wait times.

I've stayed at the Portinfino and liked it, and enjoyed most of the restaurants, but here's a little word of advice, Jakes American Bar and Grill at the Royal Pacific has great great food, if you have trouble getting into some of the others, take the boat over to the RP and eat at Jakes, love this place. I did the Salmon with cocunut rice and it is lovely.

Thank you everyone for the quick responses...I am actually starting to look forward to my vacation now that I am not so worried. Thank you so much for the suggestions!:woohoo:
I am feeling a little more zen like...now could you help me lose 15lbs before vacation?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

That's what I was thinking, there is absolutely nothing to freak out about, PBH is beautiful and FOTL access rules! :goodvibes

Cass ~ I really enjoyed reading your trip report. Very detailed with lots of pictures.

I was thinking the same thing and I can't seem to find any info about it either.
