Hi...let me introduce myself. Me, the mom, Sonja. Dad, the dh, Neil and 2 kids. Liam (ds), 10 and Payton (dd) 8. We have been to Disneyland before but never Disneyworld. We live in Alberta, Canada so we are quite a distance away. This is a big trip for us....we have a full day of flying just to get there. I LOVE LOVE Disneyland so I am hoping that Disneyworld will be extra wonderful. This will probably be our one and only trip to Disneyworld so I am trying to make sure we enjoy every moment. While I would love to come back every year we also enjoy going to new places and since we live so far it does cost a fair amount to fly. The flight alone was almost $3000. So.....
We are staying in Port Orleans French Quarter and will be there for 10 days. We have purchases the Dining plan and I made my reservations for all our table service meals. I found that to be the most difficult part of the planning. We aren't a real "scheduled eating family" when travelling so I had a hard time picking places and times to eat. I hope we don't regret it once we get started. I don't want eating to interupt the flow of things. BUT..because of the dining plan I did book a lot of character meals. I also booked the Coral Reef and scheduled a Diver to greet my kids and arranged for a special menu. I am really looking foward to that. Our last night in Florida is also the first night of the MVMCP so I have purchased tickets for that as well. We have tickets for La Nouba, plan on visiting Universal, doing the Medieval Times Dinner, outlet mall shopping and everything else we can fit it.
This board has been awesome in gathering tips to make this a very special trip. Like I said..it may be the only time we get to Disneyworld....so I am trying to do as much as possible. I have written down everything I need regarding all that looks neat and cool and special.
