We are 2 sisters, who will be travelling to WDW - we are really excited, even if someone's (sister #1) kids and husband are coming with us! Kidding, really. I (sister #2) am lucky that they are taking me with them. Aren't they sweet? Sister #1 (from here on known as Cinderella) says she is only taking me for the free babysitting. We'll see! I (sister #2) have great affection for Tinkerbell, so that's what you can call me. The husband can be Prince Charming (how cute!!) and the kids will be Scuttle (girl, 10) and Tigger (boy, 9).
This trip came into reality back in January, when Cinderella and Prince Charming (PC) bought into the DVC. They of course had to take a trip right away in March, but also planned to take a trip later in the summer. Cinderella has planned many, many WDW vacations, so she had it all done ridiculously early. We were talking one evening (she lives in VA, I'm in NY) and she suggested that I come with her and the family. After getting the permission of a sometimes curmudgeonly PC, I decided to go. We had so much fun on our previous trip, but sadly, I was only able to stay for 3 days. So, we're hoping for more serious sister time on this trip. We tend to be a little scary to PC when we're together, only because we are hilarious, and aren't afraid to tell everyone.
Cinderella booked us at the Beach Club Villas, and made all of our dining reservations about as early as you can. We are very excited to be on the DDP, and will be taking pictures of every meal the family is served. Much to PC's disappointment! I, however, have already have a food collage hanging in my living room, so this is just par for the course for me. Here are the restaurants where we'll be dining: (check the dining boards upon our return for more details)
Dinner:
Cap'n Jack's
Chef Mickey's
Alfredo's
Le Cellier (adults only)
Whispering Canyon Cafe
'Ohana
We also have plans to eat at Beaches and Cream upon our arrival, and at Olivia's for my and Scuttle's birthday.
Cinderella and I are driving, leaving VA on July 27, probably around 4am to avoid the traffic. We're taking Scuttle with us...and then we'll stop right outside Savannah, GA to spend the night with friends and drop off the dog. Saturday morning, we'll continue our drive and hopefully beat PC and Tigger to WDW. They are flying down on Saturday b/c PC has to work on Fri. SO...that's the basics...here's more about the travelers:
Cinderella, 33, travel agent, taking her 13th trip to WDW, she and her husband are sickeningly cute, hence the names...she is pretty much up for anything at least once, a big fan of trip planning and Eeyore
Prince Charming, 30, USARMY Protective Services, just wants to relax, and will totally go with the flow, as long as he doesn't have to plan anything A really nice guy...likes the tamer roller coasters, but never, ever Splash Mountain
Tinkerbell, turning 30 ON THIS TRIP!! (only slightly traumatized), High School teacher, no husband, no kids, no pets, will go anywhere, anytime. only her 2nd trip to WDW (sad, isn't it?) Cinderella is working hard to change that, and it's working...I'll be acting as ride filler inner when PC doesn't want to go...I'll pretty much ride anything, provided it doesn't just spin me in circles...NO TEACUPS!
Scuttle, turning 11 ON THIS TRIP!! (although, I doubt she's very traumatized at all) so named b/c she talks all the time...about anything, even if she has no idea what's going on...she's an enthusiastic aspring actress (read Drama Queen) but we love her...she's a bit of a scaredy-cat, and will probably only ride IASW and Dumbo.
Tigger, 9, named b/c he refuses to sit still...ever...he will someday play for the Detroit Tigers, but NEVER the Yankees, he's already said he will turn their money down...clearly Grandpa has gotten to him. This kid will ride anything he's tall enough for...and thank god, he's almost tall enough to ride everything.
We'll be back soon to tell you all about our trip!! Y'all come back now, y'hear??
