We just upgraded!!

We've just upgraded from hotel santa fe to hotel new york for just £229 for our trip next month!! We got it cheap something to do with there currently sale yay!!

Happy now as its closer for mum to the village etc, as she cant walk too far.
Plus once she's in bed and the lo too, i can go do some late night shopping!! hehe

Newport bay was only £135 to upgrade. i am very happy, couple of days ago to upgrade to hotel new york was nearly £500, so well pleased

It sounds like the new york will be perfect for your mum. I would love to stay at the new york but now we are a family of 5 there would have to be a very good offer for it to be in our budget

It would! Mind you, my mother-in-law paid to spend a night in a hotel less than a mile away from home because she wanted a sea view.

That's brillant, could see my Mil doing that sort of thing too

I keep trying to get my mum to come over and then we could stay a night as it would be easier than OH driving us over (whom I'm kidding it's 20/30 minutes !) or taking the bus/rer which is more a pain as it takes 50 mins but so far it's not happening

Keeps me sane going to DLP and I'm so looking forward to be back next week now that the holidays have finished and it will be less busy

I just have to ask, as I visited DLRP April 24-28th for the first time: is this normally a busy time? I didn't expect sooo many people...

Think it was that busy because of how Easter fell this year all 3 school zones were off that weekend of the 24/25 and 2 of the 3 continued their holidays all that week.

Maybe there was also a lot of people coming from the UK as well with the extra holiday for the wedding

I know that when I went for a few hours on the 21st I saw at 17.30 (so during the parade) the ride times were terrible, I even took a photo to show OH

we've stayed here a long while ago and wasn't over impressed due to lack of themeing (well that's what i thought at the time)

however on this last trip we ate there and had a great meal, the hotel seemed very clean and calm and of course the location is fab. i would def consider this if i return.

I'm sure you'll have a fab time. Enjoy
