Our AP's expired and we won't renew for possibly a year or two. This is mostly due to finances.

I am very sad. I have always had APs, either to WDW in FL or DL when we lived in SoCal.

I understand. We won't be renewing our PAP's after this trip, until we see how things look for us after Christmas.

Youngest son and I are trying to move out of state next summer, so I know that knocks out our Florida resident prices we would get, so that hurts even more.

I understand. We have been doing 2 trips a year, and we have to go to 1 trip a year and frankly, we may have to go to every other year soon.

We need to replace our van in a couple of years and we really need to save up for that. They are so expensive, and the money we use on vacations need to go to that instead.

I really envy those people within 4 or 5 hours drive to Disney. We would be there a lot more, but we have 17 hours drive (which I hate) and airfare is getting higher and higher.

I find with vacations that planning is half of the fun, so if you set a date and start planning of it and putting money away for it, at least you have something to dream about!

I know how you feel! we live in Northern Cal. and have always had season passes for Disneyland but this year we had to make a choice...Disneyworld or Disneyland. We chose Disneyworld!
I don't know, with the price of gasoline now I think pretty much all prices will go up so travel is getting more expensive too! this trip is costing a blinking fortune! Just hang in there though! :thumbsup2

Isn't it a yucky feeling??? :sad2:

I am currently booking our last trip for awhile too. I figured DS will start school in a year, and I want to have another baby...plus what the pp said about flight costs going up up and up and of course the wonderful gas prices. :rolleyes2 It's too much $$$ and we need a bigger house. I know I will be crying our last day there while DH has to peel me out of the hotel room or something equally as dramatic...

Here's a hug for all of us! :grouphug:

I am glad to know I am not alone!

We are adopting a child this year from China. That is where all of our extra $$ is going right now. We are even having to sell a car to help out right now. Our other 2 older cars are paid for and run well. We are trying SO hard not to be in debt!

Our new little one will need multiple surgeries too. His hands have webbing in his fingers. While I don't think we will have to pay much (we have pretty good insurance), it will be time consuming and I am not sure when he will be finished with surgeries, etc....

I miss those days I could just pop down to DL for the day. Maybe our next move needs to be to Orlando or Tampa.

Bless you, and I bet one day you will get to see the smile on your new child's face when they see the Castle for the first time. Just give it some time. Five or six years from now finances could be a while lot different.

Hey DawnM: you are a truely wonderful person! just to be able to adopt a little one from another country alone and then to have to have surgery on the little guy...poor baby. As has already been said, wait until you can see the smile on his face when he sees the castle for the first time or even Mickey mouse! Congratulations and GOOD LUCK to you! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Thanks to you all.

We are blessed to get him. He is just so adorable. He just turned 2 in March.

We have 2 older boys who are very excited to get a little brother. They have been going through their toys that they are too old for and setting them out for their new brother.
