How was Ohana's breakfast? Is it worth it just to see stitch?

I would love to hear all about Cali Grill

How was the food and service at 50s Prime Time?

We had a great time at 50's Prime Time... Sara was our server, and she was great with our DD5. Although the menu is not really my style, we did really enjoy the atmosphere.
For our lunch we split an order of onion rings (too greasy for me)my DH had the meatloaf, and I had a ceasar salad with salmon. Both were cooked fine. My DD5 barely picked at her food, but I think she was still full form breakfast that day. SHe did love the mega-berry smoothie that she ordered as her drink though. My husband is now a member of the clean plate club, with the sticker to prove it. :rotfl: This was the one meal that no one ordered a dessert at, I don't think we really wanted to stay any longer.

Would we return? Probably not, but it was a nice change of pace, and I'm glad to say that I tried it.

I LOVED California Grill! The only thing I would do differently, is not to plan it for a travel day like we did. After getting up at 3AM to catch a flight, none of us were really into it like we would have been if we had gone on any other day.

For starters, I ordered the California Roll to split with my DD5, and my DH had the chicken flatbread. Both were very good, and were rather filling by themselves.
I had the Salmon dish, and the fish was cooked perfectly, and my DH had the Cod with fried baby shrimp and I think polenta. He said this was among the top 5 dishes he had last week, but I think he would have appreciated it more if our DD5 wasn't so tired. We did kind of rush our meal here just so we could all go back to the room.
Dessert here was amazing! Definately the best creme brule I had the whole trip... OK maybe among the best I've ever had. It had a wonderful undertone of caramel flavor, and it was so creamy and rich.

Oh I just remebered that these were the cheapest drinks we had all week. Both my DH and I had a few cocktails, and they all rang up at only $6.50 each. I definately expected a much higher drink bill.

My DD5 wasn't feeling too adventurous, and I think she may have ordered the catch of the day? I know she had the sushi candy for dessert, and thought it was so funny! Our waitress Carol was excellent. SHe even brought out a small dish of goldfish crackers and an extra pair of chopstics to keep our DD entertained wile the 2 of us ate.

We settled up before the fireworks, but if I could do it over again, I would certainly stay if we weren't all so tired.

How was Ohana's breakfast? Is it worth it just to see stitch?

We all really liked Ohana's for breakfast, but I think it was more the fact that it was right at our resort, so we didn't have to get up as early as we did for the other breakfasts.

The food was very basic. Scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuts, bacon, mickey waffles, and fresh fruit. After a few days of buffet breakfasts, the offerings seemed rather boring to us. Our DD5 is more of a princess kind of girl, so Stich didn't really make an impression on her. Service was horribly slow (it took at least 15 minutes for our server to get to the table with the welcome juice and coffee). I'm not sure if it was the 100+ cheerleaders that were also there that morning, but it was so loud in Ohana's. We saw Lilo, Stich, and Mickey, and Pluto.

For the convenience factor I might return, but only if we stayed at the Poly again. I wouldn't make a special trip just for this breakfast though.

Did you prefer Narcoossee or Cali Grill?

Ooo that's such a tough one! I think we would both choose Narcoosee's, but only by a slight margin.

At Narcoosee's we both had the Crab Cake for an app. and it was wonderful! We had a 7:20 seating, so after our appetizer, we went out on the deck for wishes, such a great spot to view it from! Upon our return our server had our dishes to the table in no time. I had the Maine lobster, and my DH had the crab stuffed flounder. Both were cooked just right. Dessert that evening was key lime creme brule for me, and my DH had the Pecan tart. We both shared a pot of pressed coffe, and I have to say it was the worst coffee we had the whole trip. There were grounds in it, blech! As we were finishing up, we had a perfect view of the light parade from our window seat table. It was a wonderful, romantic evening.

I think we both found the California Grill to be a little too loud, and both prefered the simplicity of the food better at Narcoosee's.

I would certainly put both back on my list for our next trip though!

Wow! You guys did a great job with all your selections!!!

If you don't mind me asking, who were the characters at 1900 PF for breakfast?

Also did they do the napkin twirling at Chef Mickey's breakfast?

Thank you!!!

Hi! What did you think of Ohana's for dinner? Did you like the food and was it worth it? I hear it gets very crowded there - did you feel they tried to rush you? And lastly, my DD6 is super picky, did they have any other food for little kids? Thanks for your help!:)

How were your meals at Kona? We are going in June and thinking of booking breakfast and dinner like you.

Thanks for your answer: we are going there mainly because my 12yo wants to try it on our next trip.

Wow! You had the ultimate dining line up! I would love to know your thoughts on WCC and Flying Fish. Was the WCC fun?

Waiting to read more. I too am interested in your review of WCC. We did not enjoy our meal there at all and I've seen pros/cons and just curious what others think.

Looks you had a great time and enjoy the moment. Looking forward in hearing more from you.

Have a nice day. :)
