We stayed at the POP for 8 days. It was our first time there and it was very nice. A little small for the room size, but nice. :flower:

I will start with check in.
Having arrived on a Saturday night around 5 pm at the POP, I was pleasantly surprised that there was NO line for check in. WOW! It went quick and smooth. Kids can watch tv or do hula hoops and sidewalk chalk to keep busy.

Food:
after going to the room and dropping off the luggage, we decided to eat. IT was packed! Even though the food court in enourmous, it was completely full. The quality of the food was good. We tried many of the meals. I would recommend the salmon and fried chicken. My kids loved the chicken strips and the hamburgers were also tasty. There was a cold section with fruits, salads, and lots of desserts, too. All of these were yummy as well.
They sell the all you can drink cups for $11.99 and we did not buy one. We just drank water instead. (not big soda drinking family)

Rooms:
The size of the room worked okay for a family of four smaller persons.
(dad, mom, daughter 11, son 9) However, the beds were only doubles and that made it hard! We slept one adult one child in each bed to accomodate ourselves. (used to much bigger beds) The beds/pillows were comfortable though. There wasnt a whole lot of storage space, and there is way too much light coming in from the window. I had to use a mask to sleep in. (just a warning for those light sensitive people like me). I didnt hear much from the neighbors and it was actually much quieter than I expected. We were on a corner room on the top floor, so we didnt have many "neighbors" to hear. The decor is nice and the rooms were still very "new" feeling.
The housekeepers in some rooms left towel animals in the windows, we did not get any, but we left a tip each day anyway.

Grounds:
The grounds were very clean and nicely landscaped , lots of pretty trees and flowers to look at. We enjoyed being near the little lake and it was very calming after a long day at the parks. You could see the fireworks from our top floor room at Epcot and MK everynight! It was fun.

Pools:
The pools were always busy and they pipe in fun music. (3 pools had the music from there "era" playing) We were in the 50's section and felt like we were at a sock hop! The water was always clean and warm. But bring your own towels from the room, none available. (would have been nice to have bigger towels, too)
Goofy jets are a blast as well, many kids went in even though the water is not heated in them.

Buses:
The bus system was good. IT took about 20 minutes to MK and AK, Epcot was about a 15 minute ride and MGM was maybe 10. Since it was such a busy week we stood alot, but in off season I would hope they would be less crowded, however, being a value resort it may just be par for the course?

Other:
We visited the arcade and they have ticket winning games and small prizes, not too bad for the kids.
The movie area up near the check in plays House of Mouse cartoons- 24 hours a day.
The gift shop is not huge, but had lots of things to buy. We even found a sale on the Pop Century sweatshirts.
Be sure to walk around the resort as each section has some neat things to see or do. (we played Twister in the 70's)
There is a small playground for kids, too.

Well I am sure I have forgotten something as I am so tired from this week.
The parks were open early and late and were packed!! I have never seen so many people. SO if you have any questions ask away. :wave2:

Welcome back!! It sounds like you had a great time!!! Where was your room located? I would like to request a quiet, corner room, upper floor, 50's. Did you request this?? Thanks for sharing! Renessa
