-River Belle Terrace breakfast--Steamboat combo :thumbsup2
-Mission Tortilla tour tortillas :cool1: :thumbsup2

What was your favorite ride at DL?

My favorite rides are always Haunted Mansion :hmghost: & Pirates.pirate:

...I can't believe you waited that long for the Chew-Chew Train! It was cute but!!! Oh well...you were on vacation right!!

That long wait was back in Feb. We did not even look at that ride this time.:rotfl:

Cool about the "non-Dream"...it was the little things like that that made our trip awesome.

It was really fun!!:)

hmmm, wonder if I can convince my DH we CAN use AP's...heck you are clear across the USA and we are ONE little state up!! I'm gonna try it!! :rotfl2:

Good luck---it's great! ::yes::

We are TWO states up and we've been able to use ours. :)

I see from your ticker that you're already thinking of two trips. Just in ticket savings alone you're better off upgrading to an AP on this upcoming trip, and that's before factoring in the food discounts (and merchandise, if you go for the Premium AP).

Actually, we already have taken one trip this year, our 2nd would be in the fall. At the time we were originally there, I had NO CLUE my DH would have liked it as much as he did...

Since we are going back in the fall...I'm trying to casually talk about next spring and then I would really love to do the 1/2 marathon weekend! That would be 3 trips on the AP...that would be worth it!

Would it make more sense going premium for only one person or all?

Cinderlala...we didn't like the Chicken tacos either...and I LOVE chicken tacos and burritos...that was a big (expensive) bomb for us (we ALL got the chicken...oops!) live and learn...can't win them all!

Stacy, ah, now I understand.

For us, it would have made sense for me to have gotten a Premium, b/c I could have gotten the discount on merchandise and the extra discount on food. We did not end up going on a blockout day this year, but it would have been easier to think about me going on the Ladies trip earlier this year if I had a Premium (the 2 days I could have gone involved one blockout date, and I didn't want to go but not enter the parks that day, or pay 40 bucks). On our May trip I really wanted to go into the parks on the blocked Sunday...DH and DS can take an extra day or leave it, they won't even think about paying for a blockout ticket. And then I was thinking about doing the 5K this year but that day is blocked out, and if I was going to go alone for the 5K and then not even be able to PLAY after it, I'd be an unhappy camper! So that's 3 days I *wanted* to go this year but didn't want to pay the blockout tickets for each day, but if I'd gotten a premium I could have done it without even thinking about it.

Wow that was long.

You can upgrade TO Premium from Deluxe later on if you want. There's no pro-rating (you'll pay the full price) and you don't get a new expiration date, so really that's only worth it if you suddenly want to go on a few blocked out days.

Anyway, what I'm saying is that for our family, it would have made sense for me to get the Premium and for my guys to stick with the Deluxe. And in fact my husband, who was Mr This is Our Year of APs and That's It suddenly caught the disney bug this last trip, and is talking about me getting a Premium and them renewing when ours expire in September. :goodvibes

CINDERLALA- Sounds like a fabulous trip! So what were the cons of the HOJO other than small room and AC? Any? Did you watch fireworks from your room? Did you have a balcony?

STACY- It looks like we might be there at the same time. Our tickers are close lol. Are you still planning? We will be there 10/26-10/30 and I found out that DISers are meeting fort MToT one day and of course it's not the day we got our tix for. boo! I would still love to meet up with some DISers.

We are planning on 10/29-11/3. We have our hotel reservations and as soon as I buy airfare, I will change my ticker and make it official with the dates! I'm looking at buying in about 2 weeks (maybe as soon as this weekend...)

When is the DIS meet for MToT? (is it in the monster thread? I gotta go back and go through what I've missed!)

Sorry...I'm picking your brain!! So the Premium AP's do not have the blockout dates? So if I was planning on going for the 1/2 marathon, it would make sense for me to go premium, and then get the bonus of discounts.

No day is blocked out with a Premium. And you get 15% off most food (10% with the other APs), 10% off most merchandise (no merch discount with the others), AND parking is included with Premium.

You can add parking to the others for something like $59, though.

But if you took the Deluxe and added parking plus a blockout pass ($40 right now) to play after the 1/2 marathon, you're nearly to the Premium anyway. But without the extra discounts.

Once you get the AP, watch the website and your magazines! We got the special edition POTC3 DVD for Yule, along with a offered-at-the-parks-on-release-day print of the Asian ship AND a piece of the sail and some coin (all matted together), sent to us on the day of release, for the same as the full price of that DVD, thanks to our APs. :)

Mm, love the Rancho kids meal! And aren't the tortillas great? We eat Mission tortillas all the time here and they are good, but they don't even touch the goodness of the freshly made, still warm, goodness at the factory tour.

STACY- I can't for the life of me remember which day the DIS meet is. It's either 10/28 Tues or 10/30 thurs, because we're going 10/29 and I remember it was a day off ours haha. So we may overlap one day or 2 keep in touch and maybe we'll do another meet up.

I still haven't looked for that thread...I was being "good" and did some cleaning and laundry today :laundy:

now I can play for a couple of minutes before dinner duty!!

That would be fun to meet a DISer :cool1: ...we'll have to see what happens!!

The kids meal is great!! It is sooo tasty! ::yes::

And the Mission tortillas---incomparable! :thumbsup2 It's amazing how different they taste when fresh!

CINDERLALA- Sounds like a fabulous trip! So what were the cons of the HOJO other than small room and AC? Any? Did you watch fireworks from your room? Did you have a balcony?

We did not watch the fireworks from our room because we were in the park each night. We did have a balcony.

Our bathroom was pretty small, and seemed quite old. However, the bathroom in my parents' room was large---even had double sinks.

I think if I would have had time to talk to someone at the front desk, perhaps, the hotel may have been able to move us to a different room. We just had so little time for the particular days at HoJos, I didn't even mention anything other than the air conditioning to the front desk.

I know Lorealle (sp?) is pretty responsive to things on this board, so if I had told her, I'm sure she would have tried to make it better.

Such wonderful problems indeed! It's great to have an AP! It makes it a Pixie Dust world!!! pixiedust:

CA is a relief from the humidity here, although some mornings there were surprisingly humid. However, it was still quite nice since our weather here had been humid & extremely hot!!!

It's VERY balmy. I find myself doing the dance "take your jacket off, put your jacket on, take it off and spin yourself around..." *hokey pokey*

The jacket hokey pokey is quite apt! I would have my sweater on when we left the hotel, then I'd be too hot while walking to the park, then when standing in line I'd be cold again!! :lmao:

Did you see many of the Disney Characters while you were there?

Did you get to see the Electric Light Parade?

I haven't seen that in a while. I hope to see it again when I get back there.
