As we posted right before Christmas, our Cockatiels Tweezer and Piper had started nesting and had laid 4 eggs. On either Dec 20 late of 21 early, Beaker was born. On Christmas Eve, Kringle hatched. On the 28th the third baby hatched. We have been trying to figure out a name for him but we keep vetoing each others picks so he's just known as pee wee right now. Fits since he is considerably smaller than his older siblings.

Anyway, in the beginning Tweezer and Piper were very protective of the babies. Now that they are a whopping 2 weeks old, they have become mellow laid back parents and allowed us to hold the two older chicks for the first time.

This is a closeup of Kringle, the second born

And this is the two of them - Beaker is on the left, Kringle the right. Beaker is by FAR the most vocal of the trio. The parents seemed to breath a sigh of relief that we took him out of the nest for a bit..lol

We didn't handle Pee Wee yet. We will probably wait until he gets a bit bigger. :)

OH they look so little. Very cute!

It's funny - they look so little in the picture but when you consider that 2 weeks ago they were in an egg the size of an almond... :earseek: :earseek:

It's all relative isn't it???

Very cool! I think you should name the 3rd one CamColt since he was born on my birthday. :rotfl: But PeeWee is a good name too. ;)

I remember reading your thread when they were born and seeing these pictures is awesome!!

I've never seen baby cockateils before - I will have to show this to my 7yr old DD so she can see what they look like too.

Thanks for sharing these pictures!! :flower:

You guys are doing a GREAT job with them. Trust me I would be scared to death, they are so small! I love their name's! :goodvibes

They are too cute! Thanks for sharing. Keep us posted on how they grow.

They are so ..... interesting! :)

I've never seen baby birds before. I bet they are so much fun to watch. They definitely look a lot different than adult cockatiels.

Thanks for the pics and keep 'em comin'!

Thank you so much for the pictures! This is so cool....I am going to have to share the pictures with my parents when they get back in town! Their cockatiel was hand raised, so I know they will appreciate the pictures!

OH just saw the pictures, so cute. Can't wait to see some more.

Hey, nice shirt--I have that same Eeyore sweatshirt and it is one of my favorites :teeth:

SO CUTE!

My little baby cockatiel just turned 13 years old last weekend. :)
