we have randy chapman...any tips?

we have randy chapman doing photos...what is he like to work with? We have heard he is great but what is he like on the day?

Randy does both - and a lot of each! Be sure to ask him if you want a specific shot. He's very accomodating, and will do pretty much what ever you want. Have fun!

Great choice ! Randy is very professional.He knows how to keep everyone calm and at ease.If there is something that you want just ask him and he'll find a way.You almost don't even realize he's there after a while.You will love him.

randy is a phenomenal photographer. have you called him yet to talk about where your photos will be taken before the ceremony? with our ceremony, he did seperate photo shoots first: my husband and then me at the GF. then, of course, pics of the ceremony, after the ceremony and at the reception. he is very relaxed and goes with the flow. he never misses a moment of what's going on around everyone. he captures some great pictures while you're off guard. he doesn't get in the way of your special day while you're on the dance floor or cutting the cake. it's like he's not there because he sort of blends in with the crowd. you won't regret having randy as your photographer. congratulations!!!

Randy was great. His attitude was phenomenal and he put both me and DH at ease rigth away. I haven't seen my pics yet so I can't say how they turned out but I know they're going to be great I did see one on the screen. There were a few instances where he took charge and had a back up plan for us (like when the boat didn't arrive when we had been told it would Randy came up with a plan) He was absolutely wonderful and I was very impressed and would work with him again any day of the week. He asked what shots we wanted, got those done, and got candids. I can't wait to see all of them!! Just tell him what you want and he will do his best to accomodate.

My wedding is in a week and two days and I have been wondering when I would confirm dates/times and such with him. Do you call/email? And does he just show up? How did you get pictures of pre-reception while he was taking your pics at the ceremony site?

I called Linda when we were about a week out, and she told me to call Randy once we arrived in Florida. When Randy and I spoke, we went over details - what time he was coming, what room I was in for the getting ready pictures, and the schedule of the day. For us, DH and I saw each other before the ceremony, so we took very few pictures after the ceremony, and attended the cocktail hour. Once we got to the cocktail hour, Randy started snapping away. He doesn't use an assistant, so any pictures he gets of the cocktail hour, he'll have to get once he arrives after the post ceremony pictures.
