We have decided on HIFS but....

I have a couple of questions still! I think we have finally decided the HIFS are what we are looking for since we can't stay on Disney property. Lots to do, looks so nice from their website, and all your positive posts about it. The only thing is, I want to know how doable the 'going back and forth' from the parks is. I will have 2 very young ones (almost 3yr and 1yr) and 2 boys 5yr and 8yr who will probably be in stimulation overload since the only cool vacation we've done is camping. It doesn't take much to impress them . They are going to be in awe there! So how likely will it be that we can come back to the hotel, after say a morning at MK take a rest and then go back. What are we looking at for travel times and such. We will have our own vehicle there, I know from your posts not to use the complimentary shuttle. The MK closes at 6:00pm the day we are planning on going. AK will be 5:00pm and MGM 6:30. The Epcot is the only one I 'm not worried about getting back too cause it is open late. We have plenty of time. I don't want to do the commando thing to my kids(even though I'll be tempted ) I honestly don't know how much we will be able to handle, but I want to get the most out of the trip too! Is the drive short from HIFS, does parking take long, what has been your experience?

I honestly is not far at all to WDW property. Now, if I remember correctly, you turn right onto International Drive So from HIFS, turn right on Osceola Parkway (real close) and head right into WDW property. Maybe a five or so minutes till you go through the wonderful gateway into WDW Resort. It is not bad at all. From then on, it depends on which park you choose to go to. If you go to MK, you will need to park in the TTC and take a tram to either the monorail or ferry to MK. You can park at Epcot, Studios, and AK.
