We arrived today 10/30 around 1:00pm. So happy to be back at the fort!!!!
It is packed we went looping made it to every loop the decorations are more amazing than last year and the golf carts decorated are mind blowing! We did see the judges going to each campsite can't wait to find out who the winner is, I would hate to be a judge. We counted 9 open sites and while we were waiting on our friends to arrive watched 6 campers/rv/tt etc come check in. The amount of golf carts is crazy, I now can understand why the fort is trying to crack down on the golf cart rentals coming on site. Maybe a good option would be for the peak seasons/holidays here at the fort to be strict on the rentals. I come here a lot and I must say it's a little out of control with golf carts, not only do you have way too many people on a golf cart you also have tons of kids walking, riding bikes, scooters etc. And not paying any attention. We were on 1 loop and I was watching this 3 year old walking in the road in the loop I stopped cause I could see she was paying no attention I have no clue to where the parents were (there were tons of people and golf carts and it was dark) she walks across the road turns starts walking to the front of my cart and she had no clue I was stopped there even with my headlights shining right on her, it wasn't until she was 1' from me did she realize I was there ( still no parents) so she walks back to were a group of adults standing not paying attention and it was not until she tripped on something and fell did I then her a parent say to the daughter what are you doing in a calm voice not knowing the whole thing I just watched that probably took about 6 minutes I stayed stopped waiting on her. This is not a good sign of what tomorrow is going to be like. My DD and I have a very bad feeling, I sure hope nobody gets hurt tomorrow. It's a little out of control. There is security everywhere as usual for Halloween it maybe stepped up a little more than past years. CM are doing there very best let's hope everyone stays safe. Going to animal kingdom in the morning for good part of day then back to fort for golf cart parade, trick or treating then looping. I better get to bed.
(Please don't take this wrong I am all for the golf carts either rentals, off site rentals or personally owned, it's just that it was a little out of control tonight)
