A year ago we had just had our first trip to Disneyland - you know that once in a lifetime trip :rotfl: Well we have just booked flights for another trip. We leave Melbourne mid December and return mid January.

At this point we are not planning to visit Disneyland until just after new year, as much as we can't wait to see the christmas decorations we also hate big crowds so are happy to trade off just seeing the end of the christmas season with what we hope will be lower crowds.

I have been reading these boards quite alot in the last year but just could not bring myself to post without a trip to plan :sad2:

We had the same kind of first "once in a lifetime trip" :rotfl: That was back in 2008 and we've been every year since. Stupid place is so addictive and expensive. :rotfl: but we just can't keep ourselves away.

Thanks so much for helping me out with that car rental info. I really appreciate it. I hate doing that kind of research and I'm so glad it's all organised now.

Congrats on booking your trip. Who are you flying with, where are you staying and what are you going to do before Disney? I'd love to go up to that Bear mountain place and see some snow with the kids. Where will you spend Christmas?

We going on the 25th of November and are flying home on the 7th of December but we're only doing Disneyland, legoland and some shopping.

LOL I can so relate. We were in America in 2008 for DH's work, we thought we would finish our trip with a visit to DL to coincide with DD's 11th birthday.
As much as I love Disney I really wasn't excited about visiting DL.
Well I cried when I walked in..:lmao:
For me, it's the details that got me. I really didn't expect such attention to every little detail.
So fast forward to August 2010, we visited Tokyo Disney Sea :cool1: AMAZING!
And we just returned from our first trip to WDW. I am totally, utterly addicted to Disney. We are hoping to visit WDW again, probably at Christmas 2013 (we will probably visit other parts of the USA)..

Anyway, as usual I have rambled on and on:rotfl2:...Have fun on your trip. :goodvibes

:cheer2::cheer2: congratulations on booking your trip:cheer2::cheer2:
:rolleyes1 I am pretty sure there are a few of us here who can relate to that "once in a lifetime trip":rotfl2:
That's why i  this board so much we just all get it :disrocks: and you wont find any "why are you going back there again??" :rotfl:

:goodvibes Happy planning:goodvibes:goodvibes

Zaccy - I was wondering how you were going and why you weren't on the boards. Glad to see you BACK!

CONGRATULATIONS on the new 4 week trip. Will you be sharing your plans before you go?

Thanks for the welcome back everyone:yay:

We are flying Air Pacific so that will be a new expereince - we hope and ok one!! We got cheap airfare through a travel agent that obviously purchases block bookings and these were what was left so we didn't have a choice of date and routes but thats the pay off for a cheap fare:thumbsup2

We fly out of Melbourne to Nadi and have one night in Nadi - we are staying at a hotel near the airport and just plan to sleep and swim, then on to Los Angeles where we have 3 nights booked. Plan at this stage to go to Universal Studios as I and our youngest have not been there - DH and DD10 went last time. We then have 2 nights to get ourselves to San Francisco so we will take the scenic drive there - have not planned where to stop overnight yet but have read Princeses trip report several times:lovestruc.

Then its a week in San Francisco which we loved last time. We will be there for christmas so need to decide what to do christmas day. For us it would not be worth going to a hotel for a huge meal as the kids eat like birds and I don't like huge meals. We might try and see if we could find somewhere that does a brunch prehaps? After San fran its on to Yosemite for 2 nights to experience snow - we know there will be lots of it and are happy to stick to the valley floor.

Don't have the next bit planned yet 2-3 days  then the last week in the US for Disneyland - hope to do the PPH again, we stayed here last time and the GCH and we felt while the GCH public areas and pool were great it really is way over priced for what you get. The PPH had lovely big rooms and we just enjoyed it more.

Thens its back to Nadi for 4 nights before we fly back into Melbourne.

.

That's fine - I hope it works out well - as I said we have used them a few times last trip and all with no problems.

Sounds like a fantastic trip. I am so envious of everyone currently planning. We are not going again until Sep13, but I am trying to convince DH that a DL Christmas 2012 trip would be great.

We flew Air Pacific last year and we loved them. They were fantastic with the kids just a little tip when you check in ask them if you can be put upstairs i know they have started charging for that now but sometimes you can still swing it. I just realised your flying out of Melbourne so ask when you get you seats allocated at Nadi airport. We were up their both ways and on the way home we all had our own rows once we took of was great to spread out.

Have you been to Fiji before?

Congrats on the trip planning. I would love to see Disney at Christmas... maybe one day.

We have also booked our second 'once in a lifetime trips'. Though we do know the 2012 trip will be the last USA trip until at least 2015.

Congratulations on the trip zaccy! And welcome back to the boards!! The trip sounds nice, I think the break in Fiji on the way home will be lovely. Enjoy planning!
