We Had to Cancel...

our three nights at AKL for the last week of July. Now we're staying 4 nights at POR the first week of August. Someone tell me we'll like the Alligator Bayou section.

We didn't stay at AB, but in the Mansion section. Loved it. Going back August 5th to 13th. POR is our favorite resort.

We loved the Alligator Bayou section. I was soooo disappointed when we checked in and didn't get our request. However we fly out of Denver, lose two hours and so at midnight you get what you get and you don't throw a fit! Turned out to be the best thing. We loved it. We were so far out (bldg. 36) but actually liked the walk to the food court and main pool, the walk is beautiful. We were also very close to one of the quiet pools and laundry room. The other nice thing was getting the trundle bed (I think they are free now). It was plenty big for my 10 year old. I loved the theming and the patchwork quilt/bedspreads were really nice. You are going to love this resort. After staying there DH and I almost regretted buying DVC!

Hi, We stayed at AB15 last July 2004. We all loved it!!! AB14 and AB25 I believe these buildings are all close to the Lobby, food courts, gift shops etc. I would request one of the rooms the next time we go! It was beautiful and I hope you have a great time!

We just returned from out stay at POR.

We all just absolutely loved our room in AB...even my skeptical husband who now says that he will never return to a value resort! Woo Hoo! My 5-year-old ds loved the resort, as well...especially the pool and water slide. The AB rooms are darker, with more wood accents than the mansions, and I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea, but we loved it. I hope you do, too!!!

Our family ADORES POR and we have only stayed in the AB section as a family of 5. We just got back from POR AB section bldg 16 this Spring Break, the renovations made the room feel so new and clean, even though we had loved it the first time we stayed there. We love breakfasts at Boatwrights! Another lovely perk is being able to use the facilities at POFQ, legal pool hopping! My kids loved both of the pools but I think they liked POR's Ole Man Island best. We love the boat ride to DTD also, it's beautiful and relaxing. Not to be missed is Bob Jackson in the River Roost lounge, he's fun for all ages piano man at POR. A truly wonderful thing about POR is the peaceful, southern Tom Sawyer-ish charm that helps you unwind after a busy hectic day in the parks. Hope you love it as much as we do!
