Well, I just read the thread about the lizard coming home with someone, and I forgot to tell you guys about our hitchhiker.

A couple nights before we left, we picked up some packages that we had shipped from the parks. When we bought the stuff, Matt had a lollipop we were going to ship, and they CM said that were no longer allowed to send food... I didn't give it a second thought. So we throw the bags in the closet in the back of the TT, and around 3am, Erica and I wake up to some scratching sounds... I thought one of those little lizards had got in, and didn't give it a second thought. Well when we got home, we were unpacking and found a hole chewed in one of the bags that we picked up at the meadows. Well we cleaned it all out, and didn't see mickey's little cousin, so we decided to check back in a day or 2. Well when we looked again, he was in the sink and looked like he froze to death. So we set some glue traps anyway, and checked again in a couple days, and found 2 more. And just yesterday, we had 2 more... holy crap, we have been invaded! There is not 1 pc of food in there, so I hope we either catch them or starve them....

So just be careful with the package pickup, I am not sure they came from there, but they are definitely Fl mice, :D they didn't like the cold at all. LOL

Floridians are thin blooded and dont do well in low temps, just watch at the Fort if you are there during a cold snap, the place comes to a grindingly slow pace. They are a lot like Gators in the cold, sluggish and slow.

Uh Yeah, it's happenin right now. But you know we still eat good food provided by northern fireman any chance we get.

If it were me and I could keep them alive,,I tell everyone it's my pet baby gators I brought back from the Fort.

I may be jinxing myself here John...but I have never seen or had mice in my house or my RV here. Before moving to our current home, we had to store our RV off-site, in a field, and never a mouse - not even Mickey!

One of the homes Al & I grew up in outside of Buffalo was infested with field mice. But truly, other than sewer rats scampering across streets late at nite in downtown areas of Sarasota and Tampa, I've never seen any rodents.

Our biggest problem in Florida are ants, fleas, termites, and roaches - which is why I have my house serviced by a pest control company once a year. When we built our current home, we had an "in house" fumigation system installed. They install tubes in the space between the block and the dry-wall and put an outside port to the system. The exterminating company just plugs into the port, pumps some sort of gas into the system, and in 15 minutes they are done. They spray the perimeter of the house for termites.

At our former home in Bradenton, I did not have pest control, and the only problem we has was with ants - both in the house and in the MH. Rick was diligent in spraying the perimeter of the house each month, but during the rainy season, ants literally come out of the woodwork!! YIKES!!

I hope you get your problem under control, soon. Those nasty little field mice can get quite destructive!

I resemble that remark!
