We had a garage sale this weekend and...

...made over $800 total! There were about 7 families, although some had considerably more stuff that others. I had a modest amount of things in the sale and made $100. My cousin and his wife (we had the sale at their house and she had a TON of stuff) made around $300! There was still so much stuff that didn't sell that we put it in my storage barn and are going to try it again at my house in about 3 weeks. It will be easy now since everything is priced and together.

Congratulations on your garage sale success. We had a block long sale this weekend too (although many families bailed out because it rained a little on Friday morning) and made $635. About half of our stuff didn't sell so we just covered it up and will save it for our moving sale later this year. It completely paid for our hotel for our upcoming trip so we're thrilled. Congratulations again!

We also had a sale this weekend and made enough to pay for 2 airline tickets. Still had some things left over. Might do the neighborhood sale in Sept. Goal to pay for the other 2 tickets.

Sounds like this was a good weekend for garage sales. Way to go everybody! It's got me looking around the house for what else is junk that I need to get rid of!
