My French 4 class has 6 kids, and we got to talking, half in French, half in English, about religion. One girl is a Buddist, one is a Catholic, one guy a Mormon, and the rest Protestant. It was very interesing! In the past I have classes with a Shinto, and of course Jewish people, and an agnostic.

We try to make conversation class as interesting and as interesting as possible. I think they learned a lot today. At least I hope so!

That does sound interesting....you sound like a great teacher (I wish my French teacher had been more like you....I had a great teacher in 7th and 8th grade and in my Sophomore year of high school but the one I had my Sophomore year left and we had an absolutely terrible teacher for French III and IV/V which they combined into one class.)

What a great idea for conversational French. I really regret losing my skill in French. It's true, if don't use it you lose it :(

We get to talk about a lot of things, current events, dreams, anything within reason. It's very interesting to find out their views.
