We got upgraded at WL!

We just got back from the WL and we were very pleasantly surprised by being upgraded from Standard view to Courtyard view. We don't know why but we sure were happy! Once before we were upgraded from Woods view to Courtyard. This was the first time we reserved Standard view (never was available before when we made reservations).

Those of you out there hoping for upgrades, there is hope!!!

The trip was great as usual. Very hot, but most of the time lines at theme parks were very short. Parks seems almost deserted in the morning and picked up in the afternoon. The hotel pool was not very crowded either. Maybe that's because it was so hot. Water parks were very crowded. On the day we went to TL we were told they closed BB due to capacity. No problem getting into restaurants either. Except for the weekend, the WL lobby was virtually empty during most of the day. I guess the hotel was not crowded either. Probably why we got the upgrade.

when we got the upgrade, we checked in around 10:15 or so...and no, I did not ask (nor expect) it...I was blown away when she told me!!!

Have fun...wish I was going back again!!

25 days till DH are WDW bound. Can't wait till we get there. It is our delayed honemoon. An upgrade would be a great treat, but we are just planning on having an magical trip regardless of the perks. Any uupgrades are just icing on the cake. :thewave:

We also were upgraded to courtyard on our recent trip. Didn't ask-they just told us at the desk. Had a great room on the fifth floor. Glad you enjoyed your stay at the WL-it's a wonderful resort.

i hope we get upgraded next week....but either way, i love the WL....and all the CMs are wonderful as well...

when we were there two weeks ago, the hotel was at 100% capacity, every room booked, but you couldn't tell....the hotel seemed just as peaceful as always....i love it there....
