We got pins

We went in Sept. of 07 and while at AK we were part of a group that won the YOMD lanyards. It was pretty cool! My daughters thought the pins were the best thing ever. My father was with us and these were his first pins so he became a pin addict. We bought him some more so he would not have to trade his Dream pins.

My mom got a set for my then 2 year old in Jan 07. Prior to this trip I swore I'd never get into pin trading, saying it was just another way to blow money I could be saving for my next trip. Somehow winning that has started her a pin trading collection and we haven't even opened the one we won. I think we have about 15 and we haven't been back to Disney yet, oh wait, I just won 4 more on ebay.

We used to let the kids each buy a couple as souvies from their favorite rides or the hotel we stayed at. On our most recent trip my DD decided she wanted to start trading pins so we bought her a trading set to get started. She had a ball! She is 12 so I didn't have to worry about her trading ones that were special. We are going in Sept and have been having a ball looking at pins on e-bay. We have 14 pins currently on the way to us - 12 for trading and 2 to keep! OT - but it is fun that someone else in the family is now enjoying gearing up for the trip. In the past I have been the only one who wants to plan and think of things to take. A new way to bond with my DD!
