It took a month, but Disney declined to purchase our 80 point BWV with all 2002-2003 points intact. Now, how to use all those points with the school year starting soon!
We are first-time DVCers, so we are very excited! I understand we'll have to wait appproximately another month before making a reservation. I have two questions:
Is it all right to call the guide who gave us the presentation and ask her to be our guide? We did not purchase directly from Disney because we wanted a smaller, cash contract.
Is a guide ever able to arrange a reservation for a soldout period? We won't have much time to use the 80 points which will expire January 31, 2004. By the time we are officially members and able to call, the school holiday dates will be all taken, I'm sure.
Thanks for your help! I don't think I would have had the nerve to purchase resale without your friendly advice.
Oh, and taking children out of school is not the problem; I'm a teacher!

Congratulations & Welcome Home!

I know what it's like to wait the full 30 days!

Congratulations and a big.....WELCOME HOME!! :bounce:

Ellyn, Welcome Home! I would think that in this case, the guide won't be able to help you. They do work on commission, and will sometimes do what they can to help when they've made the sale. Even if they were willing to help, they can't do anything until you are in the system. Your best bet is to call as soon as you can, and ask for "anything, anytime". Then get on the waiting list for the room you can afford point-wise. OKW is the largest resort, and the one you are most likely to have success at. The waiting list does work. Good luck!
