I am, shall we say, "not so good" at Buzz, too...but I love that ride! SO much fun! I think your blurry photos are cool...you were blasting off into the galaxy, after all, and that was bound to affect the camera!

I can't believe you guys made it to BTMRR! I probably would have been like, um nevermind. It is my favorite attraction though.

I love Buzz, but just once I'd like to win!

Way to haul it over to Frontierland in record time, in the rain! On the bright side, at least it wasn't pouring when you were riding BTMRR!

We really surprised ourselves getting there in time!
It was still pouring on the ride, but we were going too fast to notice!!

Score on the FPs! That is some great pixie dust on your first day. Love it! And your random pictures turned out great. I loved seeing pictures from BTMMR. It really is one of my favs and makes me last every time!

We had a lot of great Pixie Dust this trip, and to get them on our first day, first ride just set the tone for the whole week!
I love BTMR, so much fun. These silly pictures make me feel like I'm there again!

Loved the update!

I was so sad that BTMRR was being refurbed while we were there in March (thankfully it wasn't Splash)... So, it was great seeing some pictures of it.

We were trying to decide between March 2013 and October 2013 for our next trip, then when I heard that Splash is being refurbed (I've heard a few date combos) Feb 1 - Mar 19, Disney made the decision for me to swtich to October for sure... Which means that BTMRR will probably be refurbed during that time, because it seems to be in refurb status when ever we go - it's only been open during one of our trips.

I had these horrible visions of us making it to BTMRR just two minutes late and them not letting us in after our sprint through the park Luckily that wasn't our reality!

Yayyyyyy, the Tomorrowland bathrooms!!!!! Farrell and I are so familiar with those, because seriously EVERY TIME we were in the Magic Kingdom, we totally used the Tomorrowland bathrooms.

First ride, Buzz Lightyear? Good choice my friend.

That's awesome! We kept hoping to pay it forward, but the opportunity never arose. We had 4 for BTMRR, but we were cutting it so close on time we had no time to stand there offering the other two!

We had a few snow flurries yesterday and it's very cold today! I half expected to wake up to real winter this morning!
It's possible that BTMRR might have closed a little later for the rain, I've seen it happen. I know we were worried that we would trek across the park just to find it closed! Luckily I guess the rain wasn't bad enough at that point!

I get antsy when I first get to Disney, gotta get to a park! Some times we go to DTD, but it's not the same. We loved getting right to MK!

Hahaha I love winter until about January 2 too! The my birthday is the 8th and it always storms, I can't tell you how many birthday parties I've had to cancel in the run of 26 years.
We definitely tried to make the best of it... I think we succeeded!

I don't think I ever visited those bathrooms before this trip! But we made ourselves quite familiar with them this year, it seemed we were always in that area!
Buzz is a great way to start a trip. Although losing on Buzz might not be as awesome as winning on Buzz.
BTMRR is the only coaster I feel ok with having my camera out, (you know, fireball of doom and whatnot) it was fun! Next trip I'm going to try the same on Everest!

"What Next?!"

Hi guys! Hope you are all having a great weekend. I'm listening to Christmas music. Yesterday we had a few snow flurries and I made cookies! Have I ever told you how much I hate Halloween? As my cousin David once said, "Halloween is just a speedbump on the way to Christmas". Yup, that's how I feel about it.

Anyway! Let's move along, shall we?

We just finished a very fun ride on BTMRR and were debating what to do next.

"Should we go back to Tomorrowland and finish up there like we planned?"
"Mmm we could also get Frontierland done instead since we're over here..."

So we went with Plan B.

Next logical stop?

Johnny got the magic red card, his first of many on this trip:

On the way in we heard people saying they didn't want to ride Splash in the rain.



We hopped in the stand by line which was about a 25 minute wait. We chatted with the family behind us a bit and before too long we were boarding our boat.

50 foot plunge!? Count me in!

Last chance exit? No thanks!

Here we go!

Camera got only a little wet, I tucked it inside my shirt and I didn't get too wet on the drop. On the way out, however, the boats were backed up getting to the exit and our boat stopped right beside the waterfall. Being on the right side of the boat, and right in the waterfall's path, I then got soaked.



We got off the ride and were just wondering what to do next when we heard,

"Hey is it just the two of you?"

We looked around and a CM was looking at us.

"Yep!" we answered.

"Would you like to go again?" She asked, holding something in her hand toward us. "Two fastpasses, for right now!"

More pixie dust!

With some more thanks, we headed back to the entrance, new fastpasses in hand! I could get used to this!

The fastpass line only took us 10 minutes or less and we were back on the boats, giddy at our good luck. What a trip this was turning out to be, and we were only in MK less than two hours!

Johnny's feeling the Disney magic and I'm loving that smile!

We wandered a little toward Liberty Square.

So of course, what does one do when one is having an amazing first day at Magic Kingdom, riding all one's favourite rides, one is in Liberty Square and pixie dust abounds?

What else??

Only a 25 minute wait, away we go!

We had a great ride with the Grim Grinning Ghosts and came off grinning quite a bit ourselves.

What next!?

Well, we could head thisaway...

And then maybe thataway?

I took that picture on purpose so I could remember what the wait time was, but it turned out so blurry that I could not make it out! I think it was probably about a 15 minute wait.

While waiting to board, the next boat pulled up behind and the skipper posed for a photo.

Hehehe I love when they stay in character like that.

Not wanting to miss a moment looking down at my camera (you know that feeling, you get off a ride feeling like you missed the whole thing staring at your camera?) I decided to do the same thing I had done on BTMRR and just take pictures at random. I was still feeling silly and giddy.

Ready?

We were starting to feel a little tired, the very long travel day was getting to us. We decided on one more ride before heading back to relax and unpack. Which would we pick?

What better way to end the evening??

I remember reading about how everyone goes in the left entrance so when Johnny tried to veer left, I pushed him to the right.

"Are you sure we can go this way?" He said, seeing not a single other person going that way

"Yep!" I answered walking with a lot more confidence than I was feeling. There was no one in this line at all! What the heck? Did I go the wrong way after all?

We kept walking as fast as we could, near the end of the line we caught up to a family of three ahead of us and a couple of people lined up to get on the boats. Wow! No wait at all and yes indeed, we did go the right way.

We had a great ride and when we got off we were happy and smiling but ready to get a snack and some sleep. We wound our way out of the park, waited less than 10 minutes for a bus and were back at Art of Animation in no time.

We decided to try Landscape of Flavors for a second time. I got chocolate gelato.

It was delicious! Very nice flavour and texture. Yummy!

I can't honestly remember what Johnny got, but it was a meal. He enjoyed it.
We headed back to our room and our luggage was there, no problems! We unpacked and quickly got showered and hit the sack. Ready for another big day tomorrow!
