We got lucky - rooms ready early!

Last weekend we had our last-minute trip where we moved rooms each day. With the torrential rain, we were a bit sad thinking about all those afternoons being homeless. Well, were we surprised! We had incredible luck at each resort.

On Friday, October 7th, we checked in to AKL Jambo house. We didn't go to the resort until 2:15, but the room was ready! It was a standard studio.

On Thursday, October 8th, we checked in to WL at 9:30 am. We figured our room wouldn't be ready, and it wasn't. We threw on the ponchos and headed to MK. We got the text at 12:30 that our studio was ready! It was a lot earlier than we thought.

Figuring our luck was over, we checked in to BWV on Sunday, October 9th at 9:30 am. The CM that checked us in wrote our name on a little post-it note. She said that when she gets breaks in the mornings, she calls housekeeping and lets them know who has already checked in so they can get to those rooms. I wasn't sure how effective/true that was, but sure enough at 2:00 we got the text that our room was ready!

We know that 4:00 or later is when rooms are supposed to be ready, so we were thrilled with those times of ready rooms. You certainly can get lucky.

We checked in at BWV On Sunday sept 25th and the room was ready at 11am! I'm guessing that Ms. Bilby has been involved in room ready times.

We checked in to our room at OKW on Sept 13 at 11:30 and our room was ready! I was shocked and sooo happy! Who da thunk it? I love it when a plan comes together!

That's great to know this happens at WDW sometimes too. We moved from the DLH to our villa at VGC two weeks ago and they texted us our room was ready at 2:15. Had been wondering if this only happens at the Land as the first year we were in at 11a, second in our villa by 3ish ...

We usually have very good luck getting into our rooms. We usually get get to the resort around 12:00 of our arrival day. Last year was the first time we were not able to check in - so the DW & DD went to the pool, and I went to the grocery store to pick up food for the week. I got back @ 2:30 and our room was ready. I think that is the latest we have ever gotten our room. I dont have any expectations, and if we had to wait until 4, that's ok.

we checked in 2 days ago on Sat. the 15th and were surprised that our room was ready @ 11:00am. we did online checkin. we seldom do that, but thought I would give it a try again. We change rooms this Sat. the 22nd and I did online check for that ressie too. I guess we'll see if my lucky continues. On the plus side was that we checked in on a Sat vs a Sun. We find Sunday to be the bigger checkin day because of the lower points.
