I rang back today and booked Our Fantasmic dinner package for the 15th june. Were eating at Mama Melrose's, Being seated at 6 and then onto the show at 9:30. I have heard alot of good things about the show i can't wait to see it. :cheer2:

It's my hansdown favorite thing at WDW. I was just trying to decide whether or not to do the package. I really hate waiting in line for Fantasmic for so long. But I'm not sure about the restaurant choices. I like the idea of a buffet with the Hollywood and Vine(well, DH would love it and it will be his birthday). Is the food good there?

I've heard good things about it and have it booked for our upcoming trip - I'm hoping it's gonna be great! :mickeybar

Great news Michelle...as others have said you will have a lovely time..its fantasmic :)

We did the package this past March, chose H&V & all 9 of us were very happy with the food & service there. We had 4 kids in our party, two 7 yr olds, a 12 & DS 15, 2 of whom can be quite picky. There was plenty for the kids to choose from & all 4 liked it very much--particularly the dessert bar!
The 5 adults were pleased also. & except for DGpa, none of us are buffet people. The overwhelming majority of choices were kept fresh, not all dried out &/or gummy. It is not gourmet dining but very decent. Our servers were cheery, pleasant & attentive. DBil & family did get 'stuck' on the opposite side of the street during parade time & were late for our PS--but no problem with the CMs (although DH was mucho steamed at DBil for a time! ) the CMs explained to us why DBil was most likely late, how long (20 minutes), & that we should just sit back & enjoy the parade! We got a great couple of tables near the windows , enjoyed the CMs giving 2 children an enthusiastic, wonderful "Happy Birthday" :bday: :cake: greetings & desserts=
Good experience for us!

Great news Michelle :teeth: you are going to love it!

Brilliant Michelle - lucky you getting a table at that time. When I called for my July reservation all I could get was around 4pm and I was told this was the norm?! :confused3

Anyway hope you have a brilliant time. :cool1:

Fantasmic IS fantastic, you'll have a great time try and get near the front, you may get a bit wet but the view is great :sunny:

Fantasmic is so good that we are going again in 28 days time (and we are doing the package eating at H&V). Hope you enjoy!!

Michelle, you will love Fantasmic.....it really is fantastic.:wizard: Mickey at his very very best! ::MickeyMo It is my overall favourite thing of WDW. We were able to sit right at the very front.....a brilliant view.....as Carol says you may get a bit wet (it is only a bit , nothing like the Shamu show!:rotfl2: ) but it all adds to the experience and makes it more memorable!:teeth:

Please oh please let them still be doing Fantasmic when we go back in 2007!:worship:

Tara, we also ate at Hollywood and Vine.......we thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely return there.

Thanks guys were all so excited now myself and MIL are finding it hard to sleep and we still have 11 days to go :cool1: I'm so glad we decided to book it :Pinkbounc

I have always been offered a really early dinner too. 6 pm sounds much better. I think I read somewhere that they release the later dining slots nearer the time. I really hope to get 6pm for my September trip. That way you can watch the parade first. My DD2 loved the MGM parade so much, she cried and yelled 'more' when it finished! And she loved Fantasmic too!

I've gone for a 4:20 time - that way I was thinking we could get out and perhaps see the parade - we'll have a couple of chances to see it so aren't too bothered on that day. I was thinking that I could have a good brekkie and make it through until then and then destroy the buffet!! :mickeybar :mickeybar
