Kelli just called and tried to read it to me on the phone - but she has trouble reading his writing. I made some notes and here's the general idea...written April 11th...
1. There was a sand storm going on and he was waiting it out and writing letters.
2. It's a miserable country.
3. No wonder the Iraqi people are always "ticked off" - they live in a miserable, hot and sandy country.
4. Two-man tents are awful - HOT!
5. They've had a lot of work lately, which is good - likes to stay busy.
6. They're at a very large camp (Camp Chesty).
7. Been doing a lot of work at night, when it's cooler.
8. They're hoping Camp Chesty is their "last stop".
9. Has received lots of packages lately - Aunt Chris, Uncle Glen, Uncle Steve, Mrs. Szekendi, and lots from mom.
10. Enjoys the snacks in the packages - MRE's are getting old - QUICK!
11. Has been getting lots of letters...one with a picture of the twins that I sent. Guys were fighting over the picture and asking Bobby to "hook them up" when they get home.
12. Tell Kevin I'm proud of him for making the baseball team, but he's still a wuss.
13. He's seen so much and experienced so much that there's no way to tell it all in a letter, but tell dad that after a couple of beers, I'll have plenty of stories to tell.
14. Hearing rumors that they could be home by June.
This letter sounds so much better than the last one!!!!
