Which one would you use?

And if you have used one or both would you recommend them and why?

Thanks

I have only used Garden Grocer but I have been looking into Wego since becoming a DVC Member.

Garden Grocer's fee is only $12 and Free if your order is over $200.
Their prices can be a little higher than Wego but atleast you know ahead of time what the price is.
You can pay GG ahead of time with a Credit card for no extra charge. WEGO charges a 3% fee for using a Credit Card.
Wego also charges an extra fee of 10% for leaving your order with Bell Services but I would tip either that much.
So you can order GG and not worry about it. You groceries will be waiting for you.

Wego's fee is $17 for orders up to $100; $22 for orders $100-$200.
BUT the prices are going to be cheaper. You can choose where to get your items.
I have heard that Marge is great to work with and they even call you if they have a question while shopping.
It would probably be better for larger orders if you want specific items like produce.
They are personal shoppers.

I think personally I will use Wego for larger orders and continue to use GG for smaller orders.

I have used them both and perfer WeGoShop.com. Marge and her assistant are normal, good people with great customer service-even when I emailed to make a few changes just days before my trip. In addition, you can get whatever you want-tell them to buy "whatever brand is cheapest/on sale" and they will. Our shopper found that buying 2 packs of diapers was cheaper than the one large pack I requested-so we got more diapers for less money! Score!

Really great service. No trouble with GardenGrocer either, but WeGoShop is nice in that they will go where you want them to, and you can get whatever you want.

For those with split stays so may need two (or three) separate orders, which do you prefer and why?

I have only used Garden Grocer, because I like their order-from-a-menu model a little better than the make-us-a-shopping-list model. Wegoshop is probably less expensive overall, but probably not by enough to spend a lot of time worrying about it.

Both are generally well-regarded and well-liked by the folks that use them. Hard to go wrong with either.

I've only used GG because I like to shop off their site. It pretty much has everything we need. We most just order snacks, breakfast food and water/drinks for the week.

This last time they dropped my order off at Bell service at 2:00pm even though I didn't even arrive till 8:30 at the resort. But everything was cold and still frozen.

I don't think you can go wrong with either. I prefer Wegoshop because I can tell Marge which store I want her to shop at and ask for specific items. For special diets and specific requests, I would strongly recommend WeGoShop.

We've used WeGoShop a number of times. Marge has always been great. She even delayed our order once when our flight was delayed. She also went to two stores to get our Diet Coke on sale and didn't charge us extra. I personally prefer the format of WeGoShop, easier for me to just make up a list and send it off rather than "shopping" through GGs site.

ETA: she will discount the delivery fee if you need a second delivery during your trip for fresh produce or split stays.

Only used GC but last time was a split stay, no issues. Do warn you to make sure to set up your delivery date ahead of time so they don't run out of space.

Also with CG if you order alcohol they will leave with BS, WEgoshop requires you to show them an ID. Thus you need to be there when they deliver your order.........deal killer for us as we want our order already at BS when we check in.

I haven't actually used Wegoshop yet. But we are in our trip in 2 weeks. I talked to Marge today and she said there isn't a 3% charge like the website says for credit card orders.

I've used both. We just used Wegoshop for the first time last week, and will continue to use them from now on! Garden Grocer was fine, but wegoshop was so much more personal. They had our groceries waiting for us when we arrived at the resort---- we thought that was terrific!!!!!

We used wegoshop last aug for our extended stay and midway through our trip put in a second shopping order. Marge gave us a discounted delivery fee for using them twice during our trip:thumbsup2

We used wegoshop last May and I love a face with a company and Marge was awesome, she went to two stores to find my wine. She didn't charge me the two store fee. I like paying the actual cost of my groceries(she has the receipts to show you) plus the delivery fee.

I've used both services. Marge from WeGoShop was great and she passes along any savings she can find (she gives you the store receipts too).

The man who runs Garden Grocer is all business & that's putting it nicely. :rotfl: I will sooner rent a car, take time out and go do our own shopping than use his services again.

As a new DVCer, I really appreciate this poll and all the info. everyone has shared here. Thanks to everyone. I think we will try Wego this trip after everything I have read about it. It just seems like a more affordable method. Thank you!!

From the sounds of it these services wouldn't be the best for someone in a studio that only wants quick breakfasts and a few snacks in their kitchenette. Is there somewhere on or close enough to the resorts (without a car) to get a few things? I'm asking about SSR in particular, as it's our (hopefully soon to be) "home", but info about other places would be good too.

I have used both services a couple of times. Both did a wonderful job. I tend to prefer GG because I can go to the website and see and pick what I want even though they don't carry some items.
