How does that work? So we have to use our card pass all week, or can we get bands somewhere? Is there a clip you can get now?

They gave me a generic gray one at the resort desk when I lost mine in a park. That might be a good place to start. The cards will work fine, or maybe you can buy one. Not sure I'd spring for the extra cost, but if you like having the band it may be worth it.

YMMV, but lately I’ve seen some resorts have other color options than the generic grey. Worth asking. Again, YMMV.

Enjoy your trip!

You can purchase a band anywhere and as pp's said the resort may replace them for you, definitely worth asking. Not sure what you mean by a clip, can you clarify. If you do end up using your park pass card you can also get a lanyard for easy access; although iirc a lanyard may cost as much as a magic band!

If you explain the situation at the front desk they MAY give you complimentary grey ones.
You can always purchase other colors or designs at your own cost.
Practically every gift shop has them available for purchase.

OP if you're confused about "how does a new MB work while the ones we were given are sitting at home". You can register multiple MBs within MDE and attach them to any guest in your MDE party. You can literally buy a new MB in the park, sit down with your cell, register the new MB, and immediately use it as normal. Any other MBs stay active as well. Of course the front desk in the hotel and member services in the parks can help you register the new MBs if needed.

That is s photo of a Magic Keeper. You should be able to buy one in most Disney gift shops. It comes with a screwdriver so that you can remove the “puck” from the magic band and insert the puck into the magic keeper.

Just fyi my post you quoted was referencing a lanyard with a pouch for a theme park card. This is different from the magic keeper you linked, you would need a puck to insert and the OP left theirs at home.
