My DD is 23, DS is 25. Neither one are Disney fanatics like DH and me....until I told them we bought DVC.

All of a sudden DD wants to take a WDW trip. DS thinks a cruise would be fun.

Okay, I am thinking, I should invite them to accompany us on a trip.....

Then I realize they are talking about taking trips on my DVC points - without me!!!!!!

Well, I don't think so. I told them I am perfectly willing to share, but there is no way they are going to Disney without ME!

So, DS, DD and DD's BF will go to WDW with us next year sometime (he works for the border patrol and just took vacation and cannot go again for at least a year due to the current crisis situation).

Another trip to plan and obsess over! Woo Hoo.

Now I get to plan another trip!

I'm with you, Pig Pen. Stick to your guns!

My motto: If we're using my points, I get to go!

If they want to go without you, point 'em in the direction of the Rent/Trade Forum! :teeth: :teeth:

My teenage daughter was more excited than us. I think she realized that meant 40 years of vacations for her as well. That is if were willing to share(LOL). She also thinks she can get married at Disney now- I guess Ill worry about that when it happens.

23 and 25 and still expecting mom n' dad to provide them with all expenses paid vacations.

Here's a pair of scissors to cut that cord with.

It never occured to me at that age to even ask my parents to entertain me, much less assume they would. And I'm only 39.

So did we !!! And we bought six years ago :-)

OMG!!! I just got such a chuckle out of that! HOW did you ever keep that a secret for 6 years? LOL:smooth:

I think it's a riot! I didn't want to tell anyone. For different reasons, I didn't want people we haven't asked to go with us to take it personally.

But he was like a peacock and had to tell everyone. My DD is bragging to her friends that we said we would spring for a trip for them (Lodging Only) when her & her 2 close GF's graduate from HS.

Of course we'll be in the studio next door. ;)

Ha! The funny thing is, I am always meeting Disney fanatics online who are disappointed their adult children DON'T want a Disney wedding. Getting married at Disney is one of those things that separates the casual fans from the true believers!! :)

Congrats on your points.
i just let my 2 boys and 3 friends go down there without us using our points. It was hard, but as a parent I wanted to share,

I think you need to start lobbying for some new perks. ;)
Maybe a 20% cash discount on Disney Weddings for DVC members?
Or some new items in the Disney Collection:
Basic Disney Wedding Package 1200 points
Deluxe Disney Wedding Package 1800 points
