After years and years of doing nothing but Disney. Wife, daughter and I finally said enough is enough and planned a trip out west to tour a few national parks. We flew into Los Vegas, rented a car and drove to Zion National Park. Absolutely beautiful, weather great 70's. Next day drove to Brice Canyon and the North rim of the Grand Canyon - Spectacular - weather also great 70's - low in 40's. Next day we drove to the South rim of GC, long drive but the scenry was incredible - completely different from N. Rim. We saw Bull Elk, deer, wild turkeys, chipmunks (the real chip and dale's). Next day we took the Mule ride to Phantom Ranch in the bottom of the canyon (the toughest, most grueling thing I've ever done) temp 115 at the bottom- cabons had very little AC. It was a challange we wanted to do and we're glad we did it. Drove back to Los Vegas, recuperated at the Venetian for a couple of days-did a show and flew back home. This was one of the best vacations we've ever taken. However, we're planning a Disney cruise/land package in the spring, so the curse continues to exist.

Ha, Ha, Ha I thought we were the only ones cursed. We talk about going other places instead of Disney but we would just all rather be at WDW. My DS even picked Disney over his class trip to Washington! When we do go other places, we have a great time and it's nice, yada, yada, but we still manage to go to Disney! We are addicted! And we wouldn't have it any other way!
