We felt the Magic Today!!!!

We are 10 days away from leaving for our ONCE IN A LIFE TIME!!!! The excitement builds everyday. I have been waiting oatiently for our little reminder in the mail-box from a fellow DISER. I was begining to get worried we would be gone by the time it arrived. So has I ran down to the mail-box today, dodgeing rain drops, all I could do was hope. SO THERE IT WAS!!!! A beautiful postcard, it is big and shiny,a halographic. AMAZING!!! It was addressed to our kids. The looks on their faces when one of the twins read it was amazing. THE MAGIC IS HERE!!! WE ALL HAVE IT!!! My DH is starting to get ready he has really started to talk about it. Even wants to sit down and look over "THE PLANS!!"

I went shopping with my Mom tonight (KOHLS)we found amazing treasures. They have the Disney night lights on sale for 4.99. They look like mini lava lamps. Thay have glitter in them. (Mickey, Buzz, and Tink). Worked out perfect for me.
They also have all of their Crayola stuff 55% OFF! Bought some great things for the flight. I even picked up the Glitter Cinderella Barbie for 7.99 (on sale too!)

So when I picked up Mom to go shopping, my DAD yells out his office window!!! ( man of NO words about going until TODAY)

"Hey, guess what I got in the mail today?"
"NO, idea?" ( I soooo knew!)
"I got a post card from Mickey."
"Mickey ,WHO?" (just got to play along)
"MICKEY MOUSE, ya ding dong."
"OOOOHHH, we got one too today. Actually it for the kids."
"It was even addressed from Disney." (Seemed impressed)
"He must be excited that we are coming to see him."
(Reminder all 4 kids are in the car .....listening to every word!!!"

Tyler- "He even knows it is our birthday."

THE MAGIC WAS AMAZING, it even made the stars seem brighter outside,even though it has been pouring the last 3 days.!!!

So as of tomorrow we are single digits!!!
It's real it is finally happening!!!
WE ARE GOING TO WDW!!!!

We tried calling NANI AND PAPA, to see if Mickey mailed them anything.
Couldn't get a hold of them. I am sure he did!!!!

So in conclusion of the evening we were on our way home...I put in one of my Disney Greatest Hits cd.....noticed after the 3rd song....I was not silently crying alone.....so was my Mom.!!!! After 35 years I am going to go to WDW with my MOMMY!!! (NEVER HAD THE CHANCE AS A KID)

Sooo.....Again WE FELT THE MAGIC TODAY!!!!!

Awww how sweet. It is only 5:45 and I am already crying!

PS - our trip of a lifetime (first time Feb 06) turned into trip #2 (Nov 06) and already know we are going back next year for my birthday. Hope yours turns out to be just as fun and just as inspiring to go again ... and again!

PSS: I must not shop enough ... I NEVER find these Disney things at Walmart, Kohls and Target that everyone else does!!!!

.....your 35 and finally going to WDW with your Mommy. That got me. I
felt the same thing when I was there with my parents several years ago.
I watched them being in awe of everything and was so grateful that I could
have that experience with them. You will have the time of your lives. Enjoy!

How Sweet you get to go with your Mom for the first time! I never went with my Mom either as a child. She is 62 and now has Alziemhers. This story brought tears to my eyes. Oh, how I wish I could take my Mom. Life as brought her so many curves and then, one finallly indignity....

Okay...I'm all teared up now!! I got to go with my Mommy and Daddy and sister for the first time 4 years ago when I was 31, so I know exactly how you feel!!! I have some of the best memories from that trip, and can remember my dad saying "I wish that I had brought you kids here when you were younger, but had no idea what this place was all about!" He has been able to see WDW through his grandchildrens eyes and loves it!!

Since then, we have shared that Magic with them on The Disney Magic and we are going to surprise my DD (6) with a surprise trip to WDW in December!!! She knows that they are going but has no idea that she and I are going to join them for a week. I just had a new baby 4 months ago and DH had decided that it would be a great thing for her to have mommy to herself for a while!! He is staying home with the boys (15 and baby)!! I am going to miss them lots but just can't wait to see the look on DD's face when she realizes where we are going. We are not going to tell her until we are at the airport!! The funny thing is that she keeps saying how just she and I should go stay at a hotel!! I can't wait to see the world all decked out for the holidays!!

I know that you will have the trip of a lifetime and enjoy every second of it!!

I am going soon also, and this is the first time with my parents also. I am 36.
My mom is not a big disney fan, she is going for my dad and my kids.
Hopefully she will still have a good time, how canyou not enjoy seeing your GD's face when she sees a princess??
