To a Republican "bigger government" is anything that helps the poor. Increasing the size of government for any other reason is ok.

His plan is buy up the deficit mortgages, re-finance them to current home valuation and then sell them back to mortgage companies. This helps the consumer, the banking industry and stabilizes the housing market valuation because it will reduce the inventory of homes on the market. It uses the $750 Billion already passed (not additional spending like Obama) and once stabilized, the program eventually goes away. Which one of Obama's programs goes away? Oh yeah-- jobs and small business growth and corporations. But Socialist America will be here to stay!
