we did the race for life today

in weston park leicester it was very
it was me, my mum (61) a cancer survivor and my dd (7)
we drank loads and kept to a steady pace dictated to us by dd we have raised over £300 between us and some of ellie's friends donated their pocket money
it took us 55 mins to complete the course and we really enjoyed it

I did the Race For Life three years ago - loved it, but my knees didn't!

Isn't the bit just before the start amazing? I had goosebumps on my goosebumps! My DD and DS couldn't believe that their mum was out there purple and sweating!

Its a good cause and it gives a great sense of being alive to all who are there. I think my running days are over but I may walk it next year. I always sponsor girls in the office who enter and am considering getting my shoes out for next year.

i made a pact with myself not to read the comments on everyone t-shirts because i spent most of last years race in tears, so i know what you mean by the goosebumps.

Well done Natalie, Natalies mum and DD. My MIL and I did the race for life last year in Warrington and it was great fun. We realy wanted to take part this year but it was on the week before we got back from Florida. We will be taking part next year
