I booked part of our trip on Saturday - makes it all so much more offical!!

After many calculation about booking package vs individual components, Carousel vs getting AP and trying to afford PPH, etc, etc. we just went ahead and booked....

Carousel for 4 nights thru the WTC.

This is the plan so far:

Got the package deal for $844 including 1 character breakfast, 1 early morning, 1 Mickey's Toontown Madness and our Southern California Passes. Not bad. The EE was the deal breaker for me.

Our stay is from Sunday, january 31 - Wednesday, Feb 9th. We will be checking out of the Carousel Thursday, Feb 4th and driving to San Diego for the weekend and returning to the Carousel on the Sunday and flying home Wednesday.

Our package does not include the 3 nights when we return to LA. as they told me on the phone that we would have to do a seperate package for those 3 days which wouldn't work as it would make us pay for more passes! So I booked the Carousel myself for those 3 nights but should be able to get a good rate by watching Expedia as time goes on.

For San Diego I booked Mission Bay Best Western. Will cancel ressie if get good deal on Expedia.

Not sure if this was the best way to handle the package - disappointed we couldn't just book all 7 nights as 1 package.

Also disappointed not staying at PPH or DLH however with the exchange rate from Canadian dollars and staying with an infant the Carousel just seemed the most logical choice for location and price.
