For the record, I closed the deal today on 50 points more, on top of FW6 (138) and FW39 (114) to get to 302. I was already thinking about adding a few more points before the Summer incentives came out. When they kept the 300-point Welcome Home the same but dropped the 250-point incentive, I had to go to 300 if I wanted the full value of the new Visa incentive. That's not add-on-itis, that's just good financial sense, amiright?

I joke a bit, but I was already thinking about grabbing the 50 points to take advantage of the extra $2,000 on Welcome Home (new member $7,500 vs $5,500), figuring I'll never get a better deal on 50 points direct at Riviera. The fact that taking advantage of the $1,000 Visa offer from the latest incentives would mean rewriting the contract under the new incentives and that would drop my 250-point incentive from $5,500 to $5,250 just sweetened the pot a little.

Great deal! Waiting to hear back from my guide (I assume he had the day off, or is just taking a zen breather from me) but hoping it won't be too much trouble to apply the Visa incentive and switch our UY. Other than that, I really reeeeally hope I'm done reconfiguring...

In all seriousness, my husband was good with us starting at ~250-275 points. I already told him I want to add another ~100 in the next 18 months or so.

I considered it! We snagged such a good deal on the BLT contract ($120/pt) but definitely challenging to think about a FW later in the calendar year with that. And with our smaller contracts, definitely want to stick to the same UY.
