We bought our first home!

I'm so excited, as of 11:00 this morning, DH2B and I are the proud owners of a newly renovated condo! I can't believe how perfect it is, it's move-in ready! We get married on May 20th and move in on May 26th. We lucked out and found someone who didn't mind a long close date b/c they haven't found a house to move into yet! I just had to share with you guys b/c I know that you all know the feeling of getting married and finding your first place (or are looking forward to it!). Have a great night, off to celebrate!

Congrats!!!! I just bought a new condo in August of last year. And due to my fiance being stationed in Ft Hood, TX it went up on the market this weekend!!! But now we get to house hunt in Texas for a new home TOGETHER!

I can tell you that it is a good thing your new home is move-in ready. DF and I are renovating a house now and with work and planning our wedding, you wouldn't believe how much harder it is....

I was thrilled when now-DH found our house last May. He had to shop alone since I lived 200 miles away at the time, and he would call me about each house he saw until he found the perfect one. And yes, you are lucky that it's move-in ready. We've been painting since July and still have 4 rooms to go, wood floors to refinish, curtains to make, sod to put down, etc. etc.

Thanks everyone! We are pretty proud of ourselves considering the fact that we are 22 and 23 years old. Not a lot of the people around our age, that we know, would be able to buy their own place. We're counting down the days now!
