We bought into AKV today!!!

I honestly NEVER EVER EVER thought we'd be DVC Members but something this trip (our 3rd with our boys ages 3 and 6) clicked in my DH's (was never into WDW like I am btw) head during an open house that I scheduled for us to just check it out (never had seen it before). We've been at AKL since the 6th and DH just really enjoyed his stay thus far and so yesterday we went on the tour and today we closed! Can you believe it!!!!!! 200pts at AKV and the developer's points will be given to my sister and her soon to be (June 2006 ) DH to honeymoon in Hawaii! Just wanted to share my excitement!!!!

I am sharing in your joy - we just received our documents today and will be signing off on everything this weeked. I can't believe we took the plunge!!! 260 points at AKV for us - we should meet for drinks!

Welcome home guys. As new buyers just be aware that Disney is going to announce a new DVC (At the contemporary) property the end of the month. Be sure you prefer AKV over the new resort. (You dont want to buy a 2008 car and see the redesigned 2009 model come out a week later). I just mention this because Disney guides aren't mentioning the new property to customers yet. I love AKV and added on there last week. It is an amazing place. WELCOME HOME!!!

We just sign our papers in Aug. for AKV and I know your feeling. I never thought my dh would come around, but when we went to the tour he was hooked. Congrats again and Congrats to your sister

Count me as another one who's DH finally said YES! (Although I think he did it just to shut me up ) We took the tour in 2001 eek: ) back when VWL was the current resort being marketed. Now, 7 LONG years, 2 DD's and 6 anniversaries later, we finally bought a little resale at AKV.
Our closing docs and final payment were sent this past week. Now, we're just waiting to close....ugh...hopefully this will go smoothly! I have a rented reservation for me and my DD's (ages 3 and 5) at AKV in a SV studio in 6 weeks! I really want to be in the system so that it is OFFICIALLY a trip HOME.
