We've been needing a new dishwasher for years, and finally took the plunge a few months ago. I read all the dishwasher threads on here, trying to hone my skills for when the time came. I finally settled on a Whirlpool Gold one:

It's the WDT920 model and it had to be ordered; it was not in stock at our Lowe's or anywhere close by. I am IN LOVE with this dishwasher! No regrets whatsoever. I love that the silverware basket hangs on the door and it has a wall of water thingy for focused cleaning. It is very quiet but not silent.

There was another model, and I can't even remember the brand, that had a sliding tray above the top rack for utensils and odd shaped items that makes me hyperventilate and tingle even now thinking about it. I really wanted that one, but we wanted to stay in the mid-range of price.

So after stalking all of your threads for years, I thought I would add my dishwasher purchase experience. :thanks:

We purchased a Kitchenaid KDTM354DSS a few months ago, works very well. It's so quiet that the only noise you hear is when it drains.

Isn't it amazing how a new dishwasher can improve your kitchen work? Glad you found one you love! We got a new Bosch last year and I am so thankful for it!

We bought a mid-grade Bosch last year that has that 3rd rack for utensils. It's what sold me on it. We almost fill it completely every day with serving spoons, spatulas, ice cream scoopers, etc.
i love it. Our fridge is a Whirpool and we love it too!
It's hard to judge just looking at it empty in a store so it's great that you're still pleased after using it.
