We borrowed 09 points have to cancle?

Ok we borrowed 09 points we only borrowed 1/2 of our points for our sept vacation. We have a Aug use year. I understand they will go into a holding account. My question is when do these have to be used by. We are going next September also. Will they still be avilable or will the expire by then. We are still going in sept just diffrent plans family change plans ect.

If you borrowed Aug 09 use year points into Aug 08 use year (which has not started yet, you are currently in Aug 07 use year) the points will expire July 31, 2009. They can not be banked, banking and borrowing are final transactions. They will not go into a holding account, as I assume you have already canceled at least 31 days prior to you scheduled arrival, they simply can not be put back into the Aug 09 use year.

You were talking about a reservation for travel in Sept 2008, right? You weren't talking about a reservation that was canceled for last September 2007?

You say you are still going this Sept. Are you just downsizing the reservation ( was 2br, now 1br, for example)?
If the points for the original Sept reservation were combined 08 and 09 points, see if the new smaller reservation can be made using the borrowed 09 points. That frees up the 08 points, which can then be banked into 09 for next year. You will have to wait until Aug to bank them, since you don't "have" them yet.
