We booked Song but Jetblue is $200 cheaper...

Of course the tiks are non-refundable.

I wasn't unhappy with the cost so I guess I shouldn't be upset.

Is there any way to get Song to match the price or allow us to cancel? It's no big deal, but $200 would go a long way towards food.

I was thinking of the "boy, we'd heard great things about Song and decided to try you out (which is true) but are so disappointed with what happened that this will be the last time we ever use Song" approach but it seems so whiny.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

It's possible that Song could now be matching that jetBLUE's fare. Call Song and ask about a "rollover."

If you have a nonrefundable fare and there are now seats available on the exact same flights at a lower fare, most airlines will issue vouchers for the difference (without any service charge). You typically have one year from the issue date to use the vouchers toward future travel plans, and those tickets can be for flights up to 330 days after the ticketing date. So, as long as you fly that airline again in the next 23 months, you can "recover" your money. (Disclaimer: I don't know what Song's rules are.)

So, call Song and see what they say. And please let us know.

I had that thought and checked on the Song flights earlier but they are still the same price. I will be calling after work and will post the results.

I just called the and was told we are out of luck. If they lower the price at a later date we can get a credit for the difference (not sure if it was a Song credit or an actual credit to our credit card) but they will not match the price.

I sent an email to customer service telling them I was disappointed that doing business with them cost us $200 and seeing if I have any recourse but I don't imagine I'll get anywhere. It's my fault for being too chicken to wait out the jetBlue prices. I won't make the same mistake twice.

Maybe the prices will come down at some point to match jetBlue. I'll post if anything changes.

Please don't blame Song for not price matching your air fare. I haven't heard of any airlines doing that. You will be very pleased with their flights.
I know I didn't want to fly out of Logan so we are going out of Green in Providence. Southwest's cheap fares were gone so we booked Delta. It is not a non-stop flight. It is cheaper than Southwests 1 stop flights, so I figured I'd give it a try.

My daughter-in-law works for Delta out of Green and she said she hasn't heard of any price matching. Usually airlines wil lower their fares when another sirlines does to keep competitive.

Enjoy your trip and your flight.

I checked what the differences would be pricewise between Song and JetBlue for my flights. My trip in August, JetBlue is about $12 cheaper, but I have had my flight with Song booked since before Christmas. For my trip on Thanksgiving and coming back the following week, JetBlue is $30 more than I paid for my Song tickets in Feb. I hate waiting for JetBlue to open their flight windows, so I get antsy and book with Song.

Funny....we booked Song this year because at the time their rates were $200.00 lower than JetBlue for the three of us!!!! I got tired of waiting for JetBlue to come down.

I booked with Song for the first time this year. We bought our r/t tickets for $211 in May for the week of Thanksgiving, flying back the Sunday after. I got tired of waiting for SW rates to come out. Got a stay, fly, park rate at the Holiday Inn Express for $129.00 and includes 14 days of parking and free shuttle service. Alot cheaper than paying for 11 days of parking at Logan.
