We have read on these boards where we may have bad weather and that the excursion in France may be too far from the port to enjoy the Eiffel Tower so our question is would we be better off to book a repositioning cruse to England rather than the 12 night British Isles? We would like to experience the stops in the British Isles Cruise but have read where some are industrial? what would you suggest?

We've found most ports while cruising are in the "industrial" areas. Most major cities are not right on the water, and when they are, the shipping industry is typically not right in the center of it.

I'd suggest you look at the itineraries for whatever cruises may interest you, and figure out which one has the most ports you are interested in seeing. And then plan excursions into town (or where ever) for the things you want to see/do.

I would do the repositioning cruise, then spend some time in London, then catch the Eurostar train to Paris.

I agree with jdb in AZ. I really wanted to do the British Isles cruise but after seeing the cost and researching excursions that would be needed to see the highlights, I decided it wasn't worth it. The repositioning cruise will be a lot less expensive and still allow you to enjoy a cruise but then you could spend a few days in a city or two in Europe.

It is a long way to Paris from the port and imho not worth it. The BI cruise in June has a risk of bad weather
