and are all the floors done being refurbished?

We will be there the week of Sept 21-28th.
;)

Hey Disney-Kim we are going to be at the YC Sept 20-27 and another Dis'er Kimberly is going to arrive Sept 25. It would be great to meet some other Dis'ers there. Be sure to wear your green ribbon;)

We will be at the YCR the 15-21!! What about the green ribbons????

I would love to meet people for the site!!

QUESTION:

What are the chances of getting a room upgrade?? I also wanted to surprise my husband with flowers or something for our anniversary. Is it possible to request the room upgrade prior to leaving and to order flowers to be in our room when we get there????

Thanks!!

AE

AE--it doesnt hurt to ask. I would call ahead to see if they have anything special they can do. You could ask at the front desk when you check in but if your hubby is close by then it wont be a suprise anymore. When are you leaving the 21st? We get in really late the 20th (our flight lands at 11pm) so we will prob sleep in some.

Snap21 you can get some ribbon at wal-mart or any store with fabric. You just need a little and can wear it on your clothes or put it on a backpack. Disney-Kim I know the concierge floor ws done not sure if all the others were but I think so.

We just returned from YC. 3rd floor rehab was completed. We stayed in room 3057 great view of fireworks.

thats great. maybe we will request the 3rd floor. Is that a non-smoking floor? ;)

3rd floor was non-smoking. My only suggestions is try to get a room that is closer to main lobby and elevator. It was quite a
walk to SAB every time. Enjoy the resort.:Pinkbounc

I would be worried if we were closer to the lobby that we would not be able to see fireworks from the balcony.

Hi Disney-Kim,

We just got back from the Beach Club......Did not have a view of Epcot. But........Last year, we stayed at the YC. I asked for an upgrade (per this wonderful site.) It turns out, the Bell Hop that we had tipped ALSO worked behind the desk.....he knew all the special codes to upgrade. We had room #2085. Picture this.....we walked in with my then 4 and 5 year olds. I went to the sliding glass doors to open the curtains to look out at our view, and there below us at a white Gazebo was Minnie and Micky with a bride and groom. It was magical! And yes, every night we saw fireworks from Epcot.

Room 3151 has a good view of Illuminations - it's non-smoking and right around the corner from the elevator. It's a great location - we heard no elevator noise. The only catch - it's a water view with hardly any view of water, due to tree growth. We were able to keep the room and switch to a standard room rate.

Twood.....thanks for the tip. When we stayed at the BC last Sept we paid for a water view but had a view of a tree trunk...... ;)
so they gave us a std view rate for the room too.
I can't wait to be at WDW.......:smooth:
