We are Mortgage FREE!!!

Thanks for all the congrats!
I am a very thrifty person (so is hubby) so any extra money we put towards the house.
We are going to WDW in Oct/Nov for 10 days so that will be our big expense. Staying 5 days at the All Star Sports (for a Tournement) and then 5 days at The Beach Club with concierge service (you don't want to know what that is costing us a night!!)

We have always budgeted and that won't stop. Believe it or not I do shop at Goodwill for clothing for DD. The stuff we get there is unbelievable. Lots of Gap and Old Navy.

Wow. This has been my dream since I bought my house. I have about ten more years left, but I'm hoping to slay this beast in 6. I can't wait to post this message. It must feel like a huge weight has been lifted off your back.

Isn't it a great feeling?? We paid off our first house early so when we bought this one we had a lot to put down. We also paid extra on the principle every month, and when dh got bonuses we would put some of it toward the mortgage. We had it paid off for a while and then we bought the townhouse my parents live in so we are back with monthly payments...for a while..

Congrats!!!! We did a 15 year loan and double the principal payments. We have slightly less that 5 years left I think!
