Going to Disneyland for the 1st time and looking for fun things to do or ways to spend the evening non-Disney for our first night in town. We won't arrive until 4pm so we are planning to have dinner and then we need ideas for something fun afterward. We aren't interested in the bar scene or clubbing, and are looking for something other than the pool, the movies or bowling. We enjoy live entertainment as well as comedy and if it's low cost or free even better! No kids, it's just a ladies only trip. All ideas and suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Thanks!

Your sig says you're going to Disneyworld and you have a Pop countdown picture. Are you off to Orlando or Anaheim? You posted on the DisneyLAND forum, so the options will be different depending on where you're going. :)

House of Blues, or take a walk through the Garden Walk Mall.

Oops, forgot to change the countdown ticker. Thanks for the heads up on that error. We are going to Anaheim, Disneyland!

Flying or driving? If flying, which airport and are you renting a car? If you're driving through LA or landing at LAX at 4pm you might be better off finding something to do near there, then going down to Anaheim. If you're going to be in Anaheim you could do a combo dinner and show, like Medieval Times or Pirate's Dinner in Buena Park.

It depends. What sorts of things does your group like to do? What sort of food does everyone like to eat?

I'm flying in and meeting my friend who is driving at our hotel and we already have a restaurant chosen that is in the Cypress/Anaheim area. We had planned on going to another theme park with a late entry discount and dining there but it closes early that night so we are searching for new ideas. So far karaoke is all we can come up with. None of us drink. I love touristy things and must sees/must dos. I'm not sure what is still open in the evening but I suppose things like museums and science centers will not be open that late. We like entertainment and comedy and maybe an acrobatic/dance asian gymnastic performance or other shows? Definitely looking to keep costs down so we aren't looking to pay more than $50 a person.

Head to The Block (Outlets at Orange) for some shopping. You may also want to look into the Improv Comedy Clubs - Brea and Irvine.

This might be a little out of your way, but you might consider the Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach (http://www.comedyandmagicclub.com/), or like SMD said, you might consider Medieval Times or the Pirate Dinner in Buena Park. They are definitely touristy, and might be worth missing the original dinner location you've chosen. You can also drive out to Huntington Beach, and check out the shopping area, walk on the beach in the evening, or Newport Beach after your dinner. Depending on time of year, you might make it to the beach at sunset. It's very pretty. Another option is to hang around Downtown Disney, especially if you're going in August/early September, as they are having shows each night on the stage by the ESPN Zone/Earls Sandwich locations (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...own-disney-district-at-the-disneyland-resort/).

We always just go to DTD usually we go ahead and go to the ticket counter and get our actual tickets to save time in the mornings and have dinner and just enjoy DTD last visit the kids had gift cards for Ridemakerz and Build a Bear so we went ahead and got that out of the way

We always do DTD on our arrival day. I don't really like to do shopping unless there are unique stores that I don't have where I live- which is Las Vegas, so the run of the mill stuff at outlet centers doesn't interest me too much.
