We are now aboard and had a wonderful lunch that we shared with Melody and her DH, EB. We met quite a few other DIS'ers in the
DCL Terminal as we were waiting to board. The jumbo shrimp and orange mango soup were as good as ever. One of the servers, at the bread station, remembered Hazel and I from our August 2004 cruise.
The weather here is beautiful, sunny and in the mid to upper 70's.
We got to see our server Prudence as we boarded the ship, we both gave her a great big hug and told her that we would see her at dinner tonight. Our tablemates got their request filled for early dining, but Hazel and I decided to stay with late dining. As we were eating lunch with Melody and EB we found out they were on our rotation and had late dining as well, so we invited them to join us at our table, and they accepted, as they were only a few tables away from us anyhow. Melody and EB are a very sweet couple, and we know we will be enjoying their company.
We didn't find out until we boarded that there "WILL" be a formal night during this 4 day cruise. It will be on Wednesday night. The joke is on Hazel and I as we didn't pack any formal clothes as we hadn't planned on doing Palo on this cruise.
Tonight's show is Hercules the MUSE-ical, but since we have seen that twice, we are going to the Buena Vista Theatre to see Around the World in 80 Days.
Mary, I haven't seen Gail as of yet, I hope to meet her during the DISmeet at 5pm in the Promenade Lounge. When I see her, I will give her that hug that you requested.
It's great to be aboard the "MAGIC" we feel like this is our second home, LOL!!!
We stopped and visited with Shirley for about 45 minutes this morning before boarding. Norm was feeling a bit under the weather, so you can keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Hazel is on deck 9 getting something to drink at the soda station, then we will be taking a walk around the ship until it is time to get ready for the safety drill at 4pm.
Thanks for all the well wishes for teh 1-4-05 cruisers, we "ALL" plan on having a very merry MAGICal cruise. BTW, the terminal still had Christmas decorations up and the Christmas Tree is still up and decorated on the ship!!! I have to get a photo of that.
I guess that's about it for now!!!
Andy
