Not sure WHAT is going on here, but I LAUGHED, so THANKS!

Seriously, is everyone getting their panties in a wad over nothing or what?
I thought the OP was joking around calling herself a "horrible parent" and then telling an amusing story about how her kid took advantage of a late night since both parents were sick. Did she mean literally that she felt like a horrible parent? I didn't take it that way.

I also don't think she was truly angry that her son didn't wake her, maybe she just thought it was odd that he didnt' come looking for her after a while. My son is 11 and if he hasn't seen me in the last 15 minutes he starts hunting me down.

Maybe everyone is vacation planning a little too much and are totally stressed out.
